Turned on my Tron to play and the upper flipper is very slow to come back to its resting position after the flipper is engaged.

The spring is there and looks just like the other springs.

Its as if the plunger is getting stuck in the coil sleeve.

Anyone else had this happen with a newer stern?

I will take it abart and clean it first, then see if it works.

I will try that, thanks.

Weird that the flipper worked perfectly for 4 months , then all of a sudden started acting squirrelly

My Tron has around 200 plays. I have had 30 pins since 2004 when I started collecting . Never had this issue with any of my Sterns or B/W pins . Sort of like having a new car with 1000 miles on it and the brakes failing . Flippers should normally last a little longer than this on a NIB pin, hence the "weird" description . But .... Failure rates on mechanical equipment are not zero percent. Maybe someone at the stern factory dropped a little mayo from their sandwich on my Tron

Raised the flipper a little and instant fix. thanks
