after about 100 game plays it seems my disc makes a whining noise (at different pitches) once lcmb is engaged and as long as the mode is going. anybody else notice this? or is it just normal? i still havent' been able to compare another machine to mine yet. maybe i've just noticed this since i've been playing with the volume set lower.

Put a sub in and turn it up. Lol. Is the disk spinning? I think it just has a maginet under the disk. Is there any moving parts under the playfield? I can't wait to get my LE. How are you liking it after 100 games?

It looked like it spun to me... I could be wrong.

I don't believe there is a magnet. It's just a motor that spins the disc really fast.

ya, i'm waiting on my shaker motor (ordered it a week ago). what's strange is i didn't notice the noise the first couple days..that's why i'm wondering if it's going out or not set correctly? looks fine under the playfield. it works like it should. guess i shouldn't worry until it breaks.

the game is super fun, just burned in my 1.5 software actually last night. added 60 led's to my machine already (it looks sooooo good). i'll try to post some pics of my 'tripped out' playfield when i have time (which is never). i love this game. the newer version added a lot more to the play/rules/display..etc.

the only downside, was the initial rubber kit. i was getting black rubber smudge marks on the balls, then that transpired onto the playfield. i had to wax/wipe downthe field after every 10 games i'd say. stern is mailing me out a new rubber kit, but now i might just stick with the original since i've already worn the rubbers down. lol

Personally, I'd swap them all out for white rubbers. Black rubber is only on the games because the ops prefer it. IMHO, white looks better on most games, and it plays faster as well.

I have white rubbers already for my TRON.
