Tron, Rock Custom Pinball and Stern support

I had ordered 2 under cabinet LED lighting kits, one for T2 and one for Tron from Chris over at Rock Custom. T2 install was uneventful but the Tron install resulted in the kit staying on and blowing a fuse. Chris could not have been better to deal with! If all vendors were like Chris, the world would be a nicer place. He went out of his way to offer advice and sent me a new kit, no questions asked.

Once I finally determined the problem was at the board and not on kit Chris made, I contacted Stern tech support and within a few minutes I was talking to Pat who helped me diagnose the problem in less than 2 minutes and told me what to do. After replacing an 89 cent transistor on the board, all is well in Tron Land!

So, just a shout out to Chris and Pat - thanks for the assist!

I agree with the positive comment about Pat Powers of Stern Technical Support. I have relied on him several times over the years and he has always provided top-notch advice and support. Providing support after the sale is important when you are dealing with these complicated machines, and Stern is lucky to have Pat helping their end-users.
