If it is a rattling issue due to excess play/slop on the shaft, can't the same principle of fixing a rattling spinning disc from X-Men be used here?

You just buy an e-clip from HomeDepot for around $0.30 and put it on the shaft to take up excess slop and minimize the rattle and hence the noise. I've done it on my X-Men LE and it fixed the problem. I haven't bothered yet to look at the Tron to see if the same fix will fit.
Can anyone chime in.
