I have the same problem, ramps are reversed. Also have the same brightness issue as well.
All of the videos i have seen it seems very bright but mine is what i would call just ok.
My main concern is i have a section in my tubing that is brighter then the rest and it is in the middle of the tube not the end.
Any one else having brightness issues?

This was my problem, I should have realised that before the install. 
Warning to all installing make sure you leave the tubing loose in the cable ties and with as small curves as possible.
Now my cable has kinks and marks in it.
