Quoted from Buckman:I've had a few requests for the parts / cost, below is the shopping list for what you'd need to create your own LE style apron:
Pinball Life stuff:
- Apron with cut outs for windows (LE style apron). A couple of months ago Terry gave me a price of $82.50 for an apron (this is just the metal apron). I'm not sure if the price is the same or not, but wouldn't be surprised if it's somewhere in that ballpark.
- Blue window inserts. A pair of these is $41.20.
- 2 mounting screws for the apron (part number is 237-6013-00)
Terry doesn't list these parts on his site, just send him an email / PM through Pinside and he'll take care of you. His email is: [email protected]
- 1 of these: 2 pin male / male Z connector: $0.60

- 2 of these: .156 (3.96 mm) IDC connector: $0.36

- 2 of these: stern arch retaining bracket: $6.50
http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=2015
- 6 screws for the arch retaining bracket (chances are you'll probably have some of these kicking around if you have some parts at home, if not just add these to the list of things above that you're emailing Terry about).
- 6 nylon lock nuts. I bought some at Home Depot but pretty sure they are these ($0.36):

If those nuts aren't #6s then they are #8s (Terry has these as well). You'll need a 1/4 socket for them.
- 2 of these: 89 bayonet base sockets $2.50.

I just used some double sided tape to mount them to the playfield. If you're planning on screwing them in order 1 of the sockets above and one of these (this one has a longer base and you would need this to mount the bracket to the playfield):

Bay Area Amusements:
- 1 of these: Tron decal set $60. You don't have to order new decals if you don't want to, you can simply peel off the decals off your Tron Pro apron and then put them on the new apron.

You can also get a decal set from Marco Specialties. The decal sets that PBL sells do not include the apron decals.
- 1 of these: It comes in a 10 foot length, make sure to order 20 feet as you will most likely use more than 10 feet (all depends how you run the wire, but for an extra $2.25 it's worth it): $4.50.

30022-07
- 1 of these: same thing, order 20 feet to be on the safe side: $4.50.
http://bayareaamusements.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=HA-30022-39
- 1 of these: You only need 10 feet of this one: $2.75

The first two wires are 22 AWG and the third wire is 18 AWG. BAA has lots of other colours to choose from, so if you don't like these ones just pick something else.
The cost to have my apron painted was $75. The colour they used is called Rally Flat Black. You can paint the apron yourself, but you'll have to do a bit of filling / sanding / priming to fill in the threads that were welded in on the underside.
So if you buy all of the parts it's around $205 (and maybe a few bucks more for some nuts). If it costs you $75 to get it painted that's $280 in total. If you can paint it yourself and use your decals from your existing Tron Pro apron that would save you around $135, so all in all you should be able to put it together for around $150.
I spent around $280 and to me it's totally worth it, I love the look of the apron and to have the functioning apron flashers is very cool!
If you put together your own apron make sure to post a picture of it, would like to see it!
Nice, classy mod!
