Quoted from Buckman:Instead of plugging in directly to J11 on the board how about getting an adaptor and smart strip and powering it that way instead? I ordered my kit from Coolight and I've had no problems thus far (and from everything I've read it seems like you might get interference when you power it up a different way). The folks at Coolight were very helpful, you'd just call them and ask them to send you the adaptor that's required for the Tron Pro pinball EL wire kit (they'll know which one you're talking about, plus I've also got a picture of it below and the details from my purchase order are below as well):http://www.coolight.com/Default.aspTR12.5v800 12.5Vdc Wall transformer 800ma, 2.5mm plug.........1...$10.60.....$10.60You can see how the smart strip goes in the machine, the leads from your EL wire would go into your adaptor and then the adaptor is plugged into the smart strip (and the smart strip goes straight to the wall - the black cord plugged into the blue outlet on the smart strip is the pinball machine power cord). From everything I've read it seems like keeping the power for the EL wire separated from the rest of the machine is the way that has worked best for everyone (ie. no phantom hits or other issues).Hope this helps.
