Quoted from pinballslave:

You mean precision cut Yes sir... it was actually a blade from a jig-saw, not a pocket knife, although I'm sure that would do the same job... It worked a treat, and the next game I played I shot the ball all the way round the back by holding the left flipper in and plunging hard... took a shot at Gem and hit it first shot!! I couldn't believe it... the game opened up after that... it was a breath of fresh air!

I would recommend instead learning how to make the Gem shot.

The trick is to shoot Quorra, then when the ball is coming down the left orbit lane just above the flipper, you nudge the game to the right to push the ball away from the left wall/flipper. Then you make the Gem shot with that upper flipper. Practice this move to get the timing right. This technique has completely opened up the game for me and made Gem achievable.

Also, work on plunging Gem.

I still think my custom Recognizer mod is the best one.

This TRON LE pinball recognizer mod has the following features:

1) Center dome light is only lit when GI is lit.
2) Two outside dome lights will flash when recognizer insert light flashes. Which means that they flash when you hit the 3-bank target. Also adds to the game over light show.
3) White downward spotlight is lit only when recognizer motor is running. Lights up the area nicely and take note of how it creates a cool moving shadow effect on playfield against the 3-bank target.
4) Downward spotlight has 470uF capacitor on it to keep it lit when the recognizer motor stops for a second at the extremes. Prevents annoying off/on flash at left/right extremes. Also provides a nice fade out for the spotlight.

Thanks to PinAffliction for designing and building this mod.

Here's a little nit picky thing... do you all have your Recognizer on correctly?

This is the front:

This is the back:

Notice the hexagonal circle on the front? I've seen many a recognizer put on backwards.

Minor, I know, but I guess I am a stickler for details.

Quoted from Buckman:

They fit nice and tight on the plastic and don't move at all.

Buckles, how exactly did you attach your Light Cycles to the plastics? Did you drill an extra hole in each of the plastics?

Quoted from Frax:

I hope Pinbits will be able to cut me a left slingshot protector that's not pee yellow.

It should be yellow. CLU is yellow. If you do orange then you are going to turn him orange.

The other bad guys are orange.

Quoted from turbo20lbs:

Rubbing alcohol should do it, if you have 99% alcohol that is even better.

I was told rubbing alcohol would eventually dry out the rubber and ruin it. Not true?

Hope this gets answered soon.

I think it is just a matter of time. It stops eventually.

I've been told that UV light is bad for a pinball machine (or most anything for that matter) as it will cause colors to fade.

Kind of like letting the sun shine on your pinball machine.

What do you think?

Quoted from Drew13:

Wicked cool.
When you click to buy the mirror flipper bat, is it for one or two?

Don't forget, you need three.
