Quoted from Texasff78:274 I believe. Waiting on STI to call today.
that's awesome. I'm # 100
Tron LE is worth a ton.
Tron LE HUO is worth a ton more.
Tron LE NIB is worth a mega ton more.
don't believe any of the haters or goobers out there. This pin is a king/grail item for tons & tons of people (and very passionate people as well).
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:How long ago was that? Seems unlikely today. I'm thinking $12k tops today.
more like $21k
Tron fans want this game. and a NIB Tron LE is like pure gold.
Quoted from pinlink:Keep in mind this is coming from a Tron LE owner.
yep. and never plan to sell. going to be buried in it.
Quoted from pinlink:Classic price pumping reply. "I don't care about the value because I am never selling it!".
who said they don't care about the value because they are never selling it?
Quoted from BenetBoy78:If it helps in the rationalization....Divorce will take half your stuff; and all your pins will be only be worth half of what it could have been. Go play it and keep the jazz of NIB opening in your own experience. Sell the empty box to someone....
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:Absolutely ... for now. Once TRON VE is released though (which WILL happen unless Stern decides that they're suddenly no longer in $$$), these values will all decrease.
Just a matter of time. Tick tock.
ohhh lordy... here it goes again
Quoted from Damonator:For me, I stepped away from the hobby for a while and came back two years ago. As Tron/Star Wars are two of my favorite themes, I wanted the experience of unboxing a Tron LE and knowing that I am and will always be the sole owner of it. I also wanted to mod it myself to my tastes (and my level of care in installing). But that came at a price of an extra $1.5k (plus the cost of mods) over what I could have paid for a modded LE.
So I would say if it is a dream theme for you and you don't plan to sell it within the next 3-5 years, open the box, mod it, play it and you'll be ok once you do sell it. If you think you will sell it within the next year or two, I would sell this one and find a modded out LE.
*HOWEVER* - that being said.... There are 0 Tron LEs for sale currently and *6* Tron LE wanted ads in the marketplace - more wanted ads than ANY other game. So finding a used one may require some patience.
that's one sexy photo
Quoted from Texasff78:A lot of good advice here from all of you and I appreciate it. Based on some the feedback I did look for an LE HUO over the past couple of days and was not able to locate one. One person did reach out and make what I considered a strong offer and I was leaning towards taking it and searching for another couple of months. It was taking too long though and the more I thought about it the less I cared about possibly finding a HUO LE and another cheaper title. I've made stupid financial decisions before and I certainly will again but experiences are worth a lot too. Just broke open the box and there is a Tron LE in there and luckily no racoons or termites came running out of the box. I'm going to mod it out throughout the day and install the playfield protector (sorry Iceman I'm definitely going to enjoy the game but going to be gentle with her as well).
sexy time
Quoted from Texasff78:In my defense the only reason to sell would have been to purchase TWO pinball machines. That's got to count for something.
As long as its 2 Trons
Quoted from MK6PIN:meh....+1000 for opening and enjoying, price drop (if any) will depend on the mods and demand at the time...... TRONLE time!!!!!!
you mean... price increase
Quoted from MK6PIN:Oops....my bad....I was severely disappointed when you knocked yours down to around $37K,I blame it on alcohol....
alcohol good
Quoted from turbo20lbs:"Pros are for poor people" - Centerflank
1 of the 10 commandments
Quoted from Frax:That's a lie. I've escaped Clu twice now. I'll never understand how people keep games for 5+ years...there's too much to see, too much to fix, too much to make money on, and never ever enough room...
