The bulb in the top of the left-most bumper (lamp 46 - the plastic has Gem's face) is out, and I'm trying to replace it. I've done a lot of simple maintenance, but this is being really, really fussy.
Issue #1: this particular bumper requires you to unscrew the posts holding in the whole bumper assembly (of course - the other two that still work have two simple little screws holding on the plastic...). I tried taking off the nuts underside, but I still can't get the posts to release - I'm starting to strip the screws. I can *almost* bend the plastic enough to be able to get the bulb out, but I'm worried about breaking it. Any tips?
Issue #2: i'm not sure how to replace this specific bulb. It's listed in the manual lamp matrix as a Stern 112-5024-08, which should be a standard 555-style white lamp... but it's got a very particular shape, designed to be poking through the bumper plastic. Looking through various part sites, I haven't been able to find an exact match. I'd like to it to match the other two bumper bulbs, if possible (though I could replace all three if I had to).
Any tips from Tron owners on replacing those bumper bulbs, this one in particular?
Thanks!
