I present to you my take on the Tron Encom Backbox (aka 3.1). I commissioned Kim @ Kimball's Pinballs to build a modified version of his Encom 2.0 Backbox. I tweaked the colors, added blue to one ring of Flynn's disc and changed the sequencing to create a rising blue light tower. Kim built 90% of it and I finished it out once I got it into the backbox. I've sent the final specs to Kim so that he can build it for others if interested. He was great to work with!

Damonator,
I can't believe how your suggested change in LED's behind CLU makes him look even more 3-D,
he literally PoP's right out of the Translite !!

Also loving the Blue LED changes you suggested for the Light Tower too !!

Now I'm in the middle of changing out ours with another small twist !

what does this setup cost?

Quoted from chuckwurt:

what does this setup cost?

The TRON ENCOM Edition LED Backbox Kit V3.1 is $240, V2.0 is $220.

These are the most time consumming LED BB Kits that I make.
V2.0 has 42 separate LED Strips + an LED Sequencer Board - they take me roughly 5 hours each to build.

V3.1 has about 12 more separate LED Strips than V2.0

V2.0 in action:

V2.0 in action w/Game Integrated BB Flashers (all 12 TRON Flasher Circuits):

Appreciate the interest in Damonators version !!

Awesome. Seems like a fair price to me consider the time it takes to make a set. Now I just need to find a Tron haha. Some day...

Just ordered a 3-D translite and am now shopping for a backbox lighting kit. Thought I was going to get to save a few bucks on another kit, but this sure looks like the one to get. It's only money right????
