Quoted from swinks:Programming has been my hold off point for a long time (5 years)
But been on the seat edge for a while but after listening thought bugger it and purchased a bunch of mechs and inserts today
Next will be a boardset...
DO IT! you have to break it down into bite size pieces and just get started. It may take awhile but none of it is rocket science and there is a huge community of support folks who can help! My sons and I have zero prior experience and just jumped in with a Trident kit!
Quoted from Octomodz:Running 10% off until end of April. Use 10OFF when checking out.
If you'd like to check out some builds that started by using my kits check out Overwatch and Friday the 13th in the homebrew section. There will be a labrinyth and some others posting soon as well!
If you are interested in homebrew but need a kick start (and to save 100s of hours in research and time) this is an absolute no brainer. We could not be happier with our kit as well as all of the support we get from Ernie and his Discord community!
Quoted from gandamack:Want to say thanks for creating a product that helps take some of the fear out of diving into a project like making a pinball machine. So cool! For me personally, I am still unfortunately in the semi-doubt stage regarding my abilities. It sucks, but guys like yourself give me inspiration. I also follow your League of Legends thread. I am in awe. Fantastic work!
I came from having very little experience and only some light tools and the homebrew kit really helped get us going. None of it is rocket science and if you go slowly step by step and leverage Ernie and his Discord channel you will move faster than you think! We chose the FAST bundle and we found their instructions and tutorials to be intuitive and Aaron helpful and responsive and that also helped give us confidence to keep going. Anyways, good luck with your decision and hope you decide to take the plunge!
Quoted from Mcgringoloco:For a noob with no coding experience how hard is it to get up and running??? How hard is it to code sound, music, pictures on a LCD screen? I own 5 pins now but don't know nothing bout computers
its not trivial but is definitely doable. I am a total noob and my sons and I have got the hang of the basics. You need to be totally committed and driven and be ready for some frustration the first couple of weeks. But there is a huge community of folks to leverage that can help! Do it!
Me and the boys assembled our cabinet flatpack from Trident and are beyond thrilled with how it came out! Ernie included ratchet straps to help with gluing it overnight as well as video instructions for the build. If you need a cabinet please consider buying one and building it yourself…its super rewarding!

Backbox is 2 inches taller than Stern so just need custom backglass size but this will tower over the rest of your collection as any Homebrew should! Thanks Ernie!
