Quoted from Methos:

I need to move beyond the "hopefully" part.
I am talking to a local plastics factory that does injection. I'll get back to you.

I will take one Mark if you are able to get it done.

I dont have a game, but you know I like to support these efforts.

Quoted from lordloss:

It'd be for a new mold basically. The actual parts were dirt cheap, but the upfront cost to get something made were pretty high.
If someone were to step up and make this project happen, I'd think a kickstarter would be the best bet. Since a kickstarter is basically preselling products.

Curious, do youhave a transporter or plan on getting one? Or are you looking at this as a business opportunity?

Quoted from dozer1:

TTR crossover ramp update.
This morning I received this e-mail from Rick (PPS)
Dean … fyi we are working on getting the tool run, so will probably later this year, but we have a way to get the ramps done.
Rick
I replied with "Sweet! That sounds great Rick! Mind if I am the pinside leaker of that info? Thank you for keeping this ramp in mind. I think this news would really put some smiles on some faces. Dean
He replied that I could leak this, so here you go....

just want to caution people that we have seen similar promises in the past. In short, this has been a tactic to push people off fomr active attempts to make reproduciton parts before.

#179 6 years ago
Quoted from PPS:

maybe we should put this on the back burner and let the alternative source supply this.

I hope you can get it done, it would be good for you AND the community in need.

Quoted from TecumsehPlissken:

Noticed that there is a Transporter currently for sale in the market place , perhaps the value of this title will rise with the ramps now being made available again & the possibility of plastics set etc.... on the horizon ?

I think based on that price... it has already risen!

Quoted from dozer1:

I have had a few inquiries about the playfield itself. Would someone do 350.00 shipped? (lower 48) Would have no problem shipping it to your favorite PF restoration expert. I would strip off most everything that remains . Otherwise PM offers and I will consider them. Thanks

pm sent

just wanted to say I am excited to finally be in this club!

I skipped on a few examples over the past 3-4 years and finally landed one that will clean up nicely!

Quoted from Chosen_S:

LOL, and you said the game was a dog!
hows that hunt for Cyclopes going?
you know I gotta bust your chops... It looks Hungry!

I think I said it was a dog compared to Baywatch? It still is, but art and theme are way better and with collections of our size sometimes you buy a rare game even if it is not the best player

That said, I finally played a nice playing one (you could make the ramp and the crossover shot consistently) at Pinburgh. That solidified the choice for me. Gotta play a nice one before you can really judge a game. I also have that spare pf, so seemed logical to get the game to go with it

Cyclopes is going to take a while, but no hurry. I know of 1 for sale, but dont want to get in the middle of a deal that a buddy is already doing to possibly buy it. If he passes then I may toss my hat in the ring. I had another line on one and thought it was going to work out but seller is not ready >> I think I have a solid dibs on that one once he sells.

Reality is we are trying to shift focus on either building or buying the right property so all the games can once again get legs under them (your build out keeps me motivated)

Quoted from Chosen_S:

I’ll motivate any way I can!
By the way, I still need Transporter ramps!!!!
Also, Me and another fellow are working on re-creating the entire plastic set, it’s getting very close to being finished. We are considering CPR to produce the plastic set. Thoughts?

hell yes on plastics! I just order the slingshots from russia and hope they are decent (I have 1 broken one but the other look brittle)

I thought Freeplay40 had agreed to do the ramps wince the crossover was done by PPS.

Speaking of, what are peoples opinions on the crossover? which color to go for?

red, yellow, or clear?

Quoted from Methos:

I have a game with a cleared NOS pf that I might be letting go for a possible trade if anyone is interested.

Sure... now you tell me, lol

Quoted from ViperJelly:

The price on this machine seems to be creeping up. What are people thinking for price on a nice copy, minimal wear, and new cab decals (extra ramp sets as well)?

Quoted from Chosen_S:

Me and a fellow are working on a full plastic set as we speak, going slow, but will happen eventually

count me in for one please!

#466 5 years ago
Quoted from Chosen_S:

So far we have no plastic making ability, we are considering turning over the files to cpr, does anyone have any suggestions?

Is there the need for a licensing fee?

CPR seems like the best choice TBT. They put out a quality product and seems plastics are coming out quickly for them.

for those that purchased the crossover ramp...

which one did you go for and are you happy with it?

Clear, Red, or Yellow?

Any perceived durability difference between each?

screw it. I went with Clear as I checked and Planetary was 3 left for both clear and Yellow. over 20 left of red.

Quoted from Methos:

I have a Transporter project, was going to do a full pf swap, but the projects are lining up. Is the game really enjoyable and one to keep around, or is it just an average system 11?

I personally really enjoy it

I would put it in with WWind, Mousin, Spacestation, ES, Grand Lizard, and Radical as the best of the sys11-11c category
