Quoted from ronsplooter:

Can someone with a Transporter measure the dimensions of the backbox for me. I'm trying to figure out whether it will fit in my car and it's not the same as the other Sys 11b games I've got

Everything is the same, except the head is a little taller. Which makes no difference when she's all folded down.

Quoted from EdisonArcade:

It's 32" tall compared to my Taxi and Space Station which are both around 28 3/4" (all are 29"wide). Hope that helps.

Beat me to it.

Quoted from VacFink:

Not mine but painfully close. Way over priced and add is likely to expire soon, but thought I'd share in case someone is nuts or brave both.
lascruces.craigslist.org link

I think the dude has put an extra 0 on the price. Insane.

Quoted from dozer1:

rotordave you had better get another bumper post in that hole at the mouth of that crossover ramp.

Yeah that’s what the post is on order for ... it’s an unusual post.

Post rubber taped there for now. Looks rude but it works.

rd

#386 6 years ago
Quoted from dozer1:

Didn't even see the tape, but that is not the rubber post I meant. Check out post # 375. There is supposed to be a rubber bumper in front of both of the crossover ramp sidewalls. (Maybe you should have ordered 2)

Yeah, the taped post is not shown in that photo. No need for concern ... Everything is under control!

Quoted from blubboman:

What is the part number on that ramp post rd? It is a weird one. Who has it?
thanks

It is a weird one. I couldn’t find one the same so I’ll get 2x new threaded bottom posts and make them work.

Quoted from Methos:

I would fix it.

So would I. Looks pretty good.

Note that Road Kings is a SYS11 boardset and Transporter is a SYS11B boardset. I’m not sure if that’ll work or not. Maybe. 11C is the big difference as they have no sound components. 11 have them all on the main board, and 11B have some on the board and some on an external sound board. Plus no interconnect board with Sys11.

But with only 850 Transporters made, it’s definitely worth doing it. Cool game.

I also have/had the details of someone who had made repro cabinet decals.

PM me if you want them, I think I still have them.

Quoted from Chosen_S:

Thank you guys, I’m going to start gathering parts and start looking for a cabinet.
I do know that I have an almost working Wipeout, but I’d hate to dismantle it, it’s pretty nice. Also have an X’s & O’s cab available to me about 2 hours away, I know it won’t be original, but it might take a long time to find a correct cabinet..
Any thoughts on the cab??? Suck it up and build one?? (It’s a lot of hardware to source going from scratch)

Wait for an original one, or make one.

The ramp post part # is 02-4383 at Marco.

Sorry, I meant to follow this up ....

I used a different one. Seems perfect for the ramp.

Quoted from metal-mods:

Sooooooo, how do you increase the jackpot value? Nothing on the score cards or the rule sheet. Mine was at 2 million when I first brought it home, now stagnant at 1/2 million

Like most Sys11s, it has a jackpot that defaults to the minimum value when someone gets it.

I’m away from my pin, but I remember playing with this setting (as per pic) to get the Jackpot back to a reasonable level for multiplayer games. Otherwise if player one gets the jackpot, players 2,3,4 are stuffed.

From memory, switch hits advance the jackpot. Also, generally if you leave the pin in attract mode for a while (without playing it) it should go back up by itself to attract players.

I have fixed jackpot roms for most of my Sys11s, but none are available for Transporter as yet.

[email protected] is actually making one for me right now

Be sure to post up some pictures of the decals when you receive them.

PM me with the other ones they have available (if you know...)

Thanks!

Quoted from ViperJelly:

Any success or failure stories on playfield mylar removal? Tempted but don't want to damage the art.
Thanks
John

You can buff Mylar up to “shiny as f**k” levels with a buffer.

Check out my full Mylar Banzai. I’m not removing it and risk ruining a $2000 (NZ bucks) playfield.

Not a playfield specific photo, hopefully it shows the gloss ok.

Quoted from Sethman:

It has Rev 1 roms installed (proto with LA1 overtop). I see there's L-3 for game and L-2 for sound. Looks like info is sparse. Are there any good, documented changes worth getting the latest ROM set

I have the same question. Mine also has L1 roms.

For you other guys with later roms, do your “2x playfield” and “3x playfield” inserts light during Multiball?

They don’t seem to actually 2x or 3x too much on my game. The 1m shot is still 1m. (Instead of 2m or 3m). Maybe pop hits score 300 instead of 100. Lol.
