Hello ALL
Can someone take a pic of their left side kicker under the apron? Mine sticks and it does not look orginal to the game. It also had 2 wire springs on it. I want to order (if possible) the correct one. Here is the one on my game. looks like the wrong coil too.

Thanks! Now I just need to find that plunger. Mine is worn so bad that no amount of cleaning will help.
Mike
Hello All:
I waited till Christmas tostart my Transporter project.I noticed in removing the ramp that there are 2 screws on the right side that hold the ramp to the upper wood Transporter area. Is this correct? I have to order a replacement ramp and need to fix the artwork on the wood area, so if I can plan ahead and get the right screws. Let me know or show me some pics of what I need to have mine look like.
Mike
All Right I am slowly working on my Transporter when I notice these wires taped up. This is on the right side of the playfield between slingshot and top right flipper. Any help as where they are to go?
Thanks
Mike
Quoted from ManyQuarters:Hi Mike,
Here is a pic of my Transporter and you can see that the same two wires are connected and shrink tubed. My game is hack free, all the flippers have been rebuilt and it plays flawlessly with no issues whatsoever, so maybe it's the factory set up. I searched around for the same color combination of wires and the only other place I noticed they exist is to the right flipper coil. I included a pic of that for the sake of completeness.

Thanks for the reply. Anyone else have this? Now i'm curious what the design intent was for these wires? Another flipper? Light linked to the right flipper?
Mike
Quoted from ZooDude:Thanks! Interesting, obviously that gate goes both ways and isn't connected to anything on the underside of the playfield correct?
Do you guys have metal brackets on your ramps? Seems to be a place for one there.
I talked to cliffy, he doesn't make anything for transporter, unfortunately
B
Where are you seeing that? If you have broken plastic ramp, I would order from planetary pinball. I did. Great looking
Quoted from ZooDude:Like I said, I have new ramps installed. I included a pic of one of the games with a bracket or protector, several others are posted on this thread. New ramps seem to have an area for this bracket.
I'm going to reach out to Kyle at Marcos, Steve Young and cliffy to see what I can shake loose
Thanks again
B
Sorry I had to look again at your pics. My machine does not have either. I also checked the parts catalog that Planetary Pinball has and I see the ramps but no metal protectors. They might have been a game update after ramps starting getting broke. Just my guess.
Mike
Quoted from Joco77:Hello guys!
Can someone take high res photos from the 2 apron cards please?
Thank you.
Cards are available here http://www.pinballrebel.com/pinball/cards/
In need of a replacement backbox glass retainer for my Transporter. Part # 03-8230-1. It is the 27 1/16" retainer. Used on Elvira and Truck stop as well. Let me know if you have one.
Mike
Thanks All:
I found the "L" in the bag with the gate. Not sure why the red post was in the bag with the ramp.
Moving on.
Mike
Hello Fellow Transporter owners.
I am in need of at least the ship cover plastic for my game. I want to keep the game as orginal as possible. I am interested in the set that vbobrusev is selling. Anyone in need of any other plastics? I am willing to purchase a set but want to justify the cost of buying it for one part. Any interest? Would love to make the artwork if possible too as I have the means to laser cut the plastic. I have the artwork for the plastic, been looking for an outfit to produce the decal with adhesive on the top side.
Any help out there?
Mike
Hello All:
Still looking for others who may be in need of a plastic. I have had a couple contacts, but I am waiting until Friday before I decide if I want to order a set as I only really need one plastic.
In the meantime, I am finishing my refurb of my transporter and have a question about the transporter assembly. I did not take a "before" photo and now am wondering if this standoff is supposed to be here or not. it looks too short and dosen't appear to attach to anything above. Any help out there would be nice.
Mike
Quoted from ManyQuarters:Somewhat of a mystery, however, the standoff post does not appear to be factory!
Here are pics showing that area on the TTR flyer and on my machine.
The flyer shows no standoff post, just the nut fastening the plastic. This seems correct as there is nothing above for a standoff to fasten to. It also shows there is no other post above the plastic! My game (and some but not others, as above comments show) has a separate star post closer to the side of the cabinet.
I'll guess and say TTR was a game that saw several abrupt changes made from concept to final production. Elvira and the Party Monsters was being pushed next and low production of TTR (and Atlantis) was anticipating and being sacrificed for that. The Pinbot drop target decals, no star post in certain areas add to these on the fly changes.
[Note: I added the Pinbot drop target decals at a later date to my machine.][quoted image][quoted image]
Thanks! I noticed the same thing when I looked at my flyer for TTR. I am now wondering if this may the location for the lone clear Post that is listed on the parts list for the game and the hidden Greg Kmiec "RED POST" signature that he did on his games. In the parts catalog, It lists 33 red posts and one clear post. The only location that I can figure for this post would be this "blocking post". Can anyone confirm?
Mike
Quoted from AdamPDX:New to the club and really digging this pin. I found a nice example with new ramps, but I'm missing the X-celerator decal sticker on the Transporter drop (see pic) and also wouldn't mine new decal stickers on the drops. Anyone know if these are available anywhere? I found a zona arcade link online but it seems to no longer be active?

Hello All:
I posted a while back that i was going to get 1 set of the repro plastics and that I only needed one and would sell any remaining plastics to fellow owners who may need one. The set is great looking and I want to revisit my machine to see what I might want to trade out. In the meantime, this pic is what I have left after I took my plastic and a couple for another Transporter the Rescue owner who needed replacements. Let me know if you see something you need.
Thanks
Mike
Hello All:
Could someone provide me with the wire and pin outs for the 3 bank drop target board? I just got a replacement and I want to double check pinouts and wires for both connections.
Also is there a wiring diagram for the playfield?
Thanks
Mike
Quoted from ManyQuarters:The TTR manual can be downloaded here and has a lot of schematics etc. that may help.

Here are a few pics of my TTR's center and left side drop target boards if that helps.[quoted image][quoted image]
Great! Thanks for the pics. Helps a lot.
Mike
Hello All:
Quick question for the group.
I went to lights test and tested each lamp as a single. I am seeing that some lights match the name and others not only light up the correct lamp but will light 2 or 3 other lights. I am going to assume that I have a wire crossed somewhere that is causing this to happen. Am I correct that single light is A single lamp and not a combo of lights.
Thanks
Mike
Quoted from gorgar007:Check the lamp matrix from the manual. Grab from ipdb if needed. Is the feature lamp lighting other lamps on the horizontal column? If yes, in my experience, that's a blown transistor on the board.
It's all over the place. I need to narrow it down more. It is in another location, so it will be a while before I get back to it.
Thanks
Mike
Quoted from slochar:Led or normal bulbs.... might be ghosting if led.
LED. Again I will need to check out the ghost question as well.
Thanks
Mike
Quoted from topkat:Could it be a failed diode on one of the lamps? I had a bad diode on a bk2k lamp, and it caused multiple lights to come on at once?

I read that as well. Got my work cut out for me for finding what is causing the issue.
