Wondering how this playfield works and how points are scored...

    #3 8 years ago

player controlled somehow, stern posted it up on their facebook a few hours ago.

Looks sweet. I hope they post more pics of the LE. They started building them yesterday. Hope they ship next week.

    #5 8 years ago

its based on the balls crossing the optos (holes in the playfield)...Gomez talked about that at expo.

I think those plastic posts should be red and the rubbers black. The white is too harsh against the deep red graphic.

Come on Stern, impress us. Looks like an old Pinbot upper playfield design.

Curious to see how the LE plays differently than the pro model. Getting to the point where they are not even the same pin.

Hate to say it, as I know pinball is not a great investment, but,

I can see pro models being dirt cheap in 10 years and the LE additions being the ones keeping or increasing their value.

If I can recall, it is supposed to have a motor attached to it somewhere...

    #10 8 years ago

    I don't get it.

    #11 8 years ago

    Not impressed

    #12 8 years ago

Maybe Ironhide shakes it side to side ala IJ???

    Smassa you're so jaded...

    #13 8 years ago

I don't get it either. Have to be honest, at least with Tron LE we knew clearly what in the LE was different before buying. I read the chart and I don't get it. If I'm in the hobby and don't get it how can anyone outside the hobby want an LE? So confused over what they are doing. KISS is the principle they are forgetting.

    Speaking of which...
My new "LE" Stop Sign just got installed!

    KISS indeed!

So it looks like any of the 45 degree turns are still good....

Nope, I just got out and moonwalked across...

    As for the thread-
It looks like there are some mini-LED's/sensors on the face. Rocking it back and forth lights the symbol to complete a mode maybe???
If so, time to "pan" for some Autobots!

    Another idea...
Maybe Ironhide is the ball-lock on the LE? After all the balls are locked, he lifts up the back edge to dump them all out at once! That would be cool.

Let's hope a TF LE purchaser will let us know what it does, because honestly I'm clueless on what that little plastic upper playfield thing can do. Hey maybe it transforms into something cooler looking!!

I thought I read somewhere that the motor was going to be on the left side of the BB.

Actually, I like it. I'd swap out (and I will) the clear plastic posts with red, and white with black rubber. The only thing I have seen so far that I don't like is the Megatron toy on the Pro, but that's being replaced with something else on the LE.

    Yes it would.

No kmoore, the motor was definitely on the right side in George's Solidworks PF from PPE...

Not a bad thing if it keeps pinball affordable!
