Something to remember for the future:
Transformer secondaries almost never go open circuit. The primaries do but never the secondaries. It is so rare I would almost put this event at ZERO - but there is always an exception.
One big exception to this is high voltage transformers used in various applications such as guitar amps etc but nothing that applies to pinball machines.
