Is it possible to transfer a section of backglass paint/ink to another backglass?
If so, how?

I have a great backglass that is only missing a small section in the middle 5cm/ 2”
I also have a not so good Backglass that is poor around the edges but good in the middle where the section i am missing on the good backglass

Can you put a bit of mylar and heat it up and remove the ink in one piece?
Has anyone done this before?

Just for the record,
i did try with a piece of mylar and heat and could not remove the paint/ink at the time.

Now 12 months later i had a quick look at it and was able to peel the Mylar off with 99% of the ink attached to the Mylar

Next challenge is to try and make it fit seamlessly into the BG

For anyones information
I put piece of mylar and cut the ink around the mylar with box cutter knife
Heated up the other side of the glass which did nothing
Used heat on the mylar itself which only slightly burnt and curled up one side of the mylar.
12mths later picked at the slightly curled up mylar and notice the ink stayed on the mylar and slowly removed the mylar.

Maybe you just need to put mylar on for 12mths and wait?

It was not the best result, but better than what i had, for anyone interested. Old bg paint was a different shade to remake.
Triple thick also damaged the remake backglass ink
