Had Addams for a while and looking to switch it up. Would you trade for a Scared Stiff similar condition?

Nobody has an opinion on this? Is scared stiff better than TAF??

#3 4 years ago

That's really tough

there are less SS which helps

but TAF is one of the Best. Both are really different and I enjoy playing them both.

Personally I would go for the SS, I enjoy it a little more than TAF

If you don't have to add cash then it's a no brainier scared stiff is worth at least 1k + over Addams and if you miss Addams it will be much easier to replace

Both are great games, but TAF is better. Straight up, similar condition, take the SS. SS just gets old fast as it's pretty easy and shallow.

I wouldn't trade for ss,very easy game to play.
If you are used to the TAF,SS will seem easy very fast.

I own and love both. I would factor in how nice your TAF is. Players condition can be bought all day. There are usually ten players condition TAF on ebay at any one time. But if you have a nice one, those are much harder to find. It took me about ten years to find a nice restored one at a reasonable price.

I have to say I'm a bit surprised. Maybe I'll just keep TAF...

Scared Stiff is definitely a great game, but I would hang on to TAF!

Both great games, keep you Addams. Scared Stiff is nice. I love the humor in it. SS is great for beginner players who don't want to think about modes and is a great looking game.

Buy the Scared Stiff and keep Addams. Both keep going up in value.

This is an interesting question because I think it really depends on who's perspective is being taken, and on the important factor of overall game condition, which will dictate the actual resale value. The local area supply and demand factor for each game should also be considered.

As for the individual perspectives:
- You: Do you really desire a SS more than the TAF? If so, then why? Did you just get tired of it, or did you onquer iit and didn't put much time on it? Why keep it if you don't play it. Will you miss it after its gone? If your TAF is in really good condition with no mansion insert wear, and excellent playfield condition, then consider your game closer to the $6K price range.
- SS owner: Same question as above except substitute TAF/SS.
