I'm thinking of trading my WW for a nice WPT. Not concerned about wear, as both are nice. Just fun, gameplay, etc.

Thoughts?

Thanks

If I owned the WPT, I'd make that trade.

I hear a lot about how deep the ruleset is for WPT, but for me, Whirlwind is so much more fun. All I see with WPT is a wide open playfield....so much is pushed to the back of the machine. I have played WPT on a number of occasions......Whirlwind is a true classic.

If you are done with WW, it seems like a fair trade.

Fair trade IMHO. I had WPT for a little while. It was fun but the fun didn't last. Theme is not the best but the gameplay is good.

Personally I would only want to be on the receiving end of the WW with that trade

Whoa, you haven't jumped on this yet? WPT is a much better game.

Agreed. I wouldn't think twice about doing this.

Obviously I wrote WPT, but Whirlwind is the game that got me (back) into pinball during college. That being said, I would trade the WW in a heartbeat also. It is a really good game, but (especially if you're a better player) it will get old faster, and there are some odd quirks to the game too that are annoying (quick multiball limit (at least that's adjustable), 10 multiball limit, cellar dries up until drain).

I have WW and would trade for WPT in a heart beat! I love the WPT theme and rule set.

If it's straight up, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I think WPT is worth probably $500 more. WW $1,700? WPT $2,200?

wpt is one of the best games i have played. I own it and its never leaving. only played ww a dozen times.

WW is true classic. WPT is an average game with a bad theme.

WPT is probably the most often misunderstood game with a great theme and terrible art.

Quoted from nocreditdot:

WPT is an average game with a bad theme.
