Item description

Had a cash deal fall through so I’m relisting this, only looking to trade for a ghostbusters at this point. This is a unshopped/unrestored but 100% working non import game straight from an operator. I have gone through the boards and have recapped, reflowed and installed a external battery pack. I have a topper decal and new dome ready to be installed along with a replacement plastic to replace cracked pop bumper plastic under ramp along with some other miscellaneous plastics that came with the game. There’s a small wear spot in the usual place but it would be very easy to touch up, it’s mostly black. I have a new rubber kit ready to go on and can do a basic clean/shop job if buyer would like it done. There’s multiple cracks/holes in the boulders as well as some incorrect but working targets installed. The playfield aside from the wear spot seems to be in great shape and the dmd is bright and clear. Time is limited and It’s just not a dream title for me. Any additional information or pictures just ask. Thanks!

Photos in current state. Forgot to mention but no battery damage and 100% working. New rubber kit just arrived.

Whatever you do, do not replace the foil in the topper if it is the original. People pay huge money and s*** their pants for an original topper decal. You can include the new one at the buyers' option to install. You cannot reproduce the original foil waterfall effect!

Oh definitely would not replace the foil, that’s why I bought the pre cut sticker. I did plan on removing the foil and reapplying it to remove the bubbles though if I end up restoring it myself.

Ramps are cracked and broken, The mountains have brown shipping tape over them. How do you say only one has a hole in it. Does the right hinge have enough washers on it. Overall in bad shape. 7k is a joke.

We have to see a coin door pic. The flat head screws used through out the machine and the shape of the machine screams reimport.

Appreciate the constructive criticism but as I said I have not dug into this game yet, like at all. Where’s the shipping tape and cracked ramps? Also it was preferable trade and an OBO situation.

It’s definitely not a reimport, I’m not new to this. Also I’m very curious what about the condition screams reimport to you? The cab is in incredibly good shape compared to many I’ve seen to come straight from operators let alone imports. A brand new set of mountains is like what, $200? And a couple washers a few cents. Where do you see broken ramps? (Honest question)

Only responding because you are asking (I am guessing you don't know the game that well?)

If you want more info to accurately describe the game- It also has the wrong targets installed at the ramp entrances, and lost mine kick-out wear on the playfield.

Not judging price (I don't care and don't see one), just trying to help you describe the game a little better. Your pics do a pretty good job with showing the condition.

Good luck with your trade, Whitewater is a fun game!

I genuinely appreciate the response, and other than I played this exact game as a child I know very little about it. I’ve restored many games but never a whitewater. And for the others as far as price I only put that because Pinside requires you to put a price. Many people prefer to buy an unshopped game so that’s what I was offering. If nobody is interested as I said I’ll just do a restoration myself when I’m done with the current project and return. It’s no skin off my back.

Doesn’t necessarily need a restore unless you wish to take that on.
Most items listed are fairly common for this title and cosmetic including the wear spot at mine outhole - that can be mylared as well.
Don’t see any playfield planking with photos provided which is good, and you have the topper.
As you mentioned, if the game plays 100%, a shop and a few replacement parts should be good to go.
Good luck with the trade

Completely agree with you about just needing a shop job and some replacement parts but I enjoy the restoration process, my home arcade is just about at its limit so that’s why I was going to pass this off for a game I’d like to keep. Thanks!

Here’s a picture of the wear spot next to an LED for reference and that ramp is not cracked, it’s the plastic underneath which I already have a replacement. Thanks

Curious what photos you’re looking at.. because it’s not the ones I’m seeing. How can you tell just from the Playfield that it’s a reimport? Come on.

I’m not sure but I think the coin door is usually a giveaway. I have a euro game with a similar door and I think USA o ones are different. But by playfield, Can you tell? Not that I’m aware

No, not really, but I have refurbed quite a few re-imports, and I know what he is referring to. For whatever reason (I am guessing access to parts), a lot of the projects I worked on had a ton of different hardware than what was originally installed on the game. Flathead screws were pretty common in the games I refurbed. Also common were heavily welded coil stops and brackets.

This game doesn't appear to be a re-import, just a local routed example.

Your description that this WH20 is "pretty clean" is a hoot (WW is Whirlwind, btw). Aesthetically, it's ugly on many levels. 7k? Ouch.

The game is not shopped, at all. Do you see the playfield? Zero planking, ghosting or insert issue. The boards have no acid damage or shotty repairs. The price was OBO and now is lowered.

Price lowered and description updated.

Good luck with the sale…it’s priced for asserting what’s it’s going to sell for. I wouldn’t worry about this response…he’s the same person trying to sell an Ultraman for $12,000 so it doesn’t seem like he has a pulse on the market

I see the diamond in the rough with this game. Wish I had the funds right now, or a ghostbusters, because I hate GB!

Thanks dude, I definitely think it’s a fair price but Pinside will Pinside.

I've had a ton of success with buying/selling for nearly 20 years. 12k for UMCE w/butter is $1,500 more than I paid for it. I don't need the $$, so if it doesn't sell I don't really care. Just means that the game isn't striking a chord with people. Recently sold a TRON LE for 21k...my pulse is just fine, thank you!

I’ll put $20 that you’re not getting $12,000 for your UM and the OP will get $6500.

Whatever...you clearly don't "get it" (or have a reading comprehension issue). I said "I don't need the $$, so if it doesn't sell I don't really care". OTOH, this op lowered his price on what I consider a really, really mediocre example. I have high expectations.

You’re clearly just a pinball flipper with an odd complex. Seems like most of your Pinside activity is trolling market place ads. Cool

Flipper? The average # of years a game stays I'm my collection is 4 years. LOTR has been in the house since 2004. Again, clueless. Ta ta...you can thank me for the pings...

Wish you would have put a $20 on my wager. I still can’t believe your machine is still available. It looks like you dropped the price for the money you don’t really need. Hold firm
