As title says, I am looking to trade my newly reconditioned sw cockpit arcade machine with 25" amp monitor for a restored, or minty DE star wars pinball. Already have a thread over on KLOV, thought I would try here as well. You never know!

Things done to the machine:

-Both HV and deflection boards were completely rebuilt

-pcb thoroughly tested and works 100 %

-All metal stripped and powder coated

-new control panel and yoke overlays

-yoke was completely stripped, cleaned, metal powder coated, and new trigger switches installed

-new t-molding and new chrome molding on floor entrance

-cardboard monitor bezel restored

-game completely cleaned inside and out

-new canopy plexiglass

this machine works and plays great. Cab is solid. No water damage at all. Only issues are a small chunk missing on middle left bottom area which is covered up with a piece of powder coated metal. Graffiti marks on upper right side of the cab. Can't see them unless looking at just the right angle. Bottom left back corner slightly cracked. Have corner protectors temporarily installed.

Also selling machine outright. $3800 OBO. But would really prefer to trade for a minty DE star wars pin. Yes i know a DE star wars pin is worth less, but the game has sentimental attachment and would love to have it back in my collection. So this could be a great trade for someone! That's why if i find one, I want it in great shape. Shopped/restored, LEDs, Darth Vader topper....etc. It's probably a long shot, but I gotta at least try! PM if u have one to trade!

It would for sure stay in my collection, but I already have a restored upright version of it. So if i am able to trade for the pin, at least I have that still to play. My very first machine i ever got was a DE star wars pin. I shopped/restored it all by myself, not having a clue of what to do...but learning as i went. Once it was done i was so happy. But of course once I had one...i needed another...and another...etc. eventually I sold it so I could get other games. But now I have pretty much what I want...so really wanting to get that pin back in my lineup to stay for good! The pics below are the last i have of this machine...:/

I figured this would be a long shot...but still optimistic!

How bout this, anyone have one to sell out right? I WILL get this pin again! I will need to sell the cockpit to get the cash, but if I push the sale of it outright, it should sell quickly. I hope!...

Quoted from MustangPaul:

If I had the room I'd buy that SW arcade game from ya. It's a blast.

Or you can trade me your star wars pin for it...

Hey OP, did this ever sell?

Nope. Still got it. Looking to sell or trade still for the DE star wars

#22 9 years ago

Yes...whether i sell or trade her, I will get a DE star wars pin back in my lineup!

#24 9 years ago
Quoted from MustangPaul:

Hey vader1979, I just saw that pmWolf got a container load of games in and there's a DE Star Wars in the bunch. Shoot him a PM.

Sent him a message. He has one, but not interested in trade. So either someone buys it for me to trade for my cockpit, or I sell my machine then buy it direct from him.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

OK. Is it a re-import?

Right now the only info that I got was that it went to his buddies house. Need solenoid work and flipper rebuild. Cab and play field supposedly in good condition. That's all I know as of now. I had a de star wars that was from England. had it for 3 weeks. Did not like It at all. It was a lemon! That was supposed to be the machine that stayed, but I just saw too much work and $$$ that it was gonna need. That's why I'm looking for one in good condition. i can handle the small stuff. Etc...changing plastics, rubbers, shopping out, put in leds, minor paint touch ups...

#28 9 years ago
Quoted from MustangPaul:

I hope ya find one in good shape but they all need something and the parts for them are just not out there. 2 of my pop frames are broken and I really don't look forward to fixing them. Why they used plastic frames is beyond me.

Ya, I know they all need some work. Just hoping to get one that someone else has already done some of the work! I like tinkering on the games. Cleaning, minor paint touch ups, putting on new rubbers, plastics, new leds...etc. Just don't want to have to mess with any major cosmetic or electrical issues.

My star wars cockpit is sold pending final payment!. Now looking for a nice DE star wars pin! Separate thread made for that!

#32 9 years ago
Quoted from MustangPaul:

That buyer is a lucky man. Hope ya find one soon. then you can join the DE Star Wars club.

Ya, already been a star wars member twice before! Third time is a charm! Wont let that one go very easy!

Damn it!! My buyer backed out...grrr. Said after he got home that he didn't know how to get the machine into his basement. Too big... I knew I should have told him that the deposit was nonrefundable! ! So she's back on the market again! :/

#35 9 years ago

I do have a back up guy that wants it now as well. Also says he knows a guy with a de star wars pin that he is gonna go look at this weekend. If it's up to my standards, he said he would get it and drive it up from Missouri to my house to deliver, then take the cockpit! Hope the pin is in good shape, cause that would save me a lot in shipping charges. Money that could be used for new parts if needed. But I'm not gonna get my hopes up until I get all the details, and this time a nonrefundable deposit!

Right now I live in a twin home. Only has a single car garage. Will be here until the wife and I move next summer. My next house will definitely have a large basement living room or separate large adjoining room to make my arcade. And also it WILL have a walk out basement door!! No more stairs. ..sick of it!
