    Quoted from kst8cat:

Just curious what is the advantage to going up on Thursday? Are there events scheduled early on Friday before the show officially opens late in the afternoon?

A large number of exhibitors load in their games on Thursday. Showing up on Thursday to help people load is a great way to get to know other pinball collectors as well as get an opportunity to play some games in a calmer environment.

And the tournaments typically open earlier on Friday than the normal show.

Lots of perks for showing up on Thursday.

    Quoted from beelzeboob:

Here's a question: If you're not in the tournament, do the doors REALLY open at 5 on Friday? There's nothing to do before then? Because, if that's the case, my wife and I might jump in that lake nearby. Or I may indeed just spank the monkey.

There is nothing "official" to do before 5 pm and you cannot access the machines in the main hall.

But there is plenty of socializing that can take place prior to 5pm.

And if you have a few hours to spare, there is a location within 15-20 minutes drive that has 10-11 Stern Pros on route that cost 4 nickels per game to play. It costs $3 to enter, but the Pinball machines rarely have a line.

The swap meet may catch a break! The morning may be cold (upper 30s/low 40s), but it should at least be sunny.

Rain is no longer part of the forecast as of today (Wednesday). Texas weather is crazy though, so come prepared for both a blizzard and a heat wave.

    Quoted from scottslash:

    Exploited a bug, Marcus?

To tell the truth, I do not know. Started Gozer Multiball started when I was at 70 million. The flippers were reversed and the lights went crazy bright.

I just put my head down and focused on the flippers and started double flipping. I kept the multiball alive for at least 2-4 minutes.

When I finally drained, I had 2.9 billion and earned a bonus of 290 million (or so)

    The experience was awesome!
