If you’re looking for an excellent BBQ joint while attending TPF, I recommend Hutchins BBQ. Everything on the menu is top notch and the Texas Twinkies are pure perfection. It’s just a short 5 mile drive and easily the best BBQ place within 10 miles of the hotel.
If you arrive early Thursday or Friday Cattleack BBQ is about 15 miles away and is rated top 10 and the food is excellent. The other local places just don’t do Texas BBQ justice.

Save room for the nanner puddin' and cobbler with ice cream! 
I always recommend eating at the Blue Fish, which is only 5 minutes away. Also, take a short trip to the National Videogame Museum. You won't regret it.

I agree. We ate at Hutchins for lunch today. Brisket and Texas twinkies were incredible. Worth the wait in line. My wife said the banana pudding was worth the 3 hour drive from Austin.
