Anyone local know if Bishop Cidercade takes their games to the show?
Last time I came down me and a friend went to check out BOS pinball lounge only to find out half their games were in route to the show. Still a fun spot to check out but wasnt expecting to show up and only see half the games.
Man I am sooo ready. I’ll be heading out early tomorrow with my games. I’ve been waiting 3 years for this show.
I am useless at work today because I am so distracted by thoughts of the show this week! We are leaving around 230 in the morning from the Atlanta area to try and get into the DFW area before rush hour gets too bad tomorrow afternoon, then hopefully have a relaxing night before everything gets started on Friday.

BOS Pinball has been closed for a long time now. I don't know if Cidercade takes their games to the show, but I would doubt it.

Good to know. Pinside map still shows 25 machines.

We were there yesterday. All their games still there. Most all working but several problems.
Worth going!
I need to be at the tourney bright & early on Friday to sign in and get some practice.
Will I be able to pick up my packet that early so I will have my badge or do I need to pick that up on Thursday?
We went back to my concert promotion days for inspiration for our talk's flyer / handbill.
Hope to see you there!

Ps: we are the talk before Steve Ritchie, so if you come just to get a good seat for the next talk, you'll get to learn a little more about FAST Pinball while you wait.

I thought nobody can get in until 5pm? Is that not correct?

When I went a few years ago, the tourney was in a separate room, outside the main hall. Have fun down there everyone, it's a great show.
To clarify, some of us going early are exhibitors or vendors and will use the time to set up booths or games. The tournament also starts early in a separate room.
You are correct that the show opens Friday afternoon.
Quoted from n1teowl:I've decided to make TPFs my first show since the pandemic began, and also my first show that I've traveled to. It looks like a stacked lineup of industry attendees, including Steve and Mark Ritchie, Scott Danesi, Jack Guarnieri, Chris Franchi, and Barry Oursler. I am so ready to get back to a show and looking forward to meeting a lot of people in person. I figure if I'm going to hop on a plane, than this is the show to do it for. Who else is going?
I'm going, but I live close enough (Houston) that hopping on an airplane isn't a requirement.
I'm mainly going to play in the tournament but will try to catch some of the talks as time allows.
My work has a facility here and just so happened to have a meeting so am staying the weekend and thrilled to check one more box off of my pinball pilgrimages! Going solo and hoping to chum it up with you nerds
Tour of TPF 2022 on set up day!
I will be posting daily a recap from the show over the weekend! And if the Wi-Fi is good I will be doing live streaming from the show too! Stay tuned to the channel all weekend!

They still do the happy hour….the party started last night!!! See everyone their!
I be there all day Saturday. Can’t bring my hone brew but looking forward to playing others and trying out Weird Al. I bet there will be a long line on those machines.
Quoted from mab487:Anyone looking for a weekend pass? I have one for $50. They’re 80 at the door.
Yup, I am looking for one.

My single-sized booth at the show is located between the Marco and Cointaker mega-booths. Pic includes me (thumbs up) and Uncle Paul. Folks who have come by so far seem to really like the new products - the replacement Type 1 sound board for Williams games and the Skee Optical Switches that close on Kickstarter in about 3 days.

Amazing show, we had a blast. I can see why everyone calls this the best show in the country. Nice getting to see y'all. Looking forward to next year!
Great show. I am glad there were so many of the newer pins there to play. Kept the lines down and got to put on some real time on the machines.

(laughs maniacally at his prior post)
Had my hands full just playing the games I wanted to on the show floor and meeting up with an old friend who lives in the DFW area.
Still had a blast despite placing a very disappointing 139th of 160 in Wizards qualifying. I gained a lot of experience to make next year's visit more enjoyable.
