So with the details coming any day now where does Pinside stand on a Toy Story pinball from JJP?
Are you to “Infinity and Beyond” excited and potentially breaking the bank to get one or passing?
Clearly a huge family title set to launch.

Quoted from Jokerman:

TS? Easiest in ever.

Quoted from romulusx:

It’s going to be fun when certain folks here go apeshit crazy when they see TS sell like crazy!!!!

Well, Toy Story certainly may need a new acronym!
Thanks all for voting and the 2c!

I’ve owned every JJP from NIB. Never had a problem, though the buyer of my PoTC found some damage under a sling post that I never noticed. Timing of TS’s release will dictate whether I buy.

Great to see your post and hope you are well!!

Curious to see how this changes in the next few days.

I am as well now that JJP reveal day is here!

Quoted from thewool:

I hope this also doesn't sound like a slot.

Based on the video the game certainly has a redemption/slot aspect to it and that is not immediately appealing to me.
Interested to hear more soon.

This may not matter much but the day started with 57% at NO and now 70%.
A lot less may-be today.

Thanks all for chiming in!

Quoted from Skypilot:

Now That Lawlers retired let’s hope that the next game will be unobstructed by his stupid antiquated vision.

It does seem like in every JJP reveal he gets a bit more philosophical and confusing. He basically professed when Wonka was released that an operator friendly SE was essential to grow pinball.
Now he’s talking exclusive BoBeep callouts for CE and approachable objectives are critical for novices/kids.
Who can realistically operate 12-15k machines or are we done with that vision now?

Quoted from frankmac:

But the price... I hope Stern does not climb into this range of pricing.
15 k is just to high for msrp.

CE sold out in a blink.
JJP front runs it and Stern seems to follow as the next line is crossed.
Unfortunately nothing new.

Stage three: bargaining.

Just waiting for “not what I expected but fun, Pinside is wrong as usual, shoots great, wife approves so haters gonna hate” posts.

Acceptance stage.

Quoted from FalconDriver:

A good move for sticking an iPad in the playfield. Good way to attract kids even more besides the theme of course.

Good point. Digital crack.
Ever see a parent take one away from their kid?

The game could drastically improve if they could change the sound of that spinner.
Constant bell ringing not too pleasant.

Not holding out hope of seeing a 12-15k machine on location in these parts.
Maybe if the operator is a die hard enthusiast and wants to hold the machine long term.
Of course location matters depending on where you are in the country.

uhh.. what do you call Free Gold Watch?

A long haul drive but possible.
Some of you bigger ops must have deep up front pockets.

The paradigm shift is that now “flippers” and HUO purchasers are facing the potential reality

JJP is pricing them out!

Quoted from guitarded:

Maybe in 1985-1987. But it is in no way massive today.

Well, seems they do pretty good looking backwards.
Godzilla hasn’t been this massive since the 1950’s.

Played it many times today and as usual, better than expected. Wide open buttery shots for days, kaboom ramp is a blink and you’ll miss it and the highlight. A lot of JJP light glitz as usual and casual - kid friendly as intended. Sounds and callouts a bit better than Wonka IMHO. Not a bad game at all, but with so much good pinball out there I can stay engaged longer without the lofty price tag.

ABut hey the next game that comes out should beat the ts4 prices right dip shits

Yeah people can shit talk PL all they want but he knows how to make a smooth shooting machine.

Agree. Any chance you have a coupon to get this down to the price I paid for DI?

Quoted from Palmer:

You know this thread has run it's course when pinsiders start posting their bank account balances.

Bank accounts, flexing fake collections from other countries, TS4 promo creators also reviewing the game - yeah the shark has been jumped long ago.

I wonder how long it will sit at the $16500 asking price.

Quoted from iceman44:

It’s not just the $15k price tag on the CE it’s the fact that they tried to sell 1,000
Even at 500 this game would sit.

Overshot the market on this title period and got greedy.
Not a bad game, but those saying reasonable at 10k-12k are being generous vs better players out there at or below this price point.

Quoted from ZMeny:

Damn, tough crowd hahaha. Not my company. I love the armor and think it looks great. Hope they do a run of CE armor. Unlike many, I enjoy the game and have fun playing it. And I’m a sucker for making my machines look even better than when they came out of the box. Appreciate the feedback.

It’s real?
Honestly thought it was a troll ad.

Hope he has more gas in the tank but pretty sure Stern isn’t missing him much.
