The TS4 movie came out 3 years ago... If this game was released then I think it might have stood a chance.
Looking at the pictures, it's a standard body game right? This was a good move IMO.
I know pinside is not the sole focus of this pinball companies, blah, blah, blah.... but would be interested to know if JJP does any market research for their games?
How do you sell a 3 year old IP as a fresh idea? If people see TS4 in an arcade they won't even know it's a new game. Odd...
Just watched the official video... There's some good stuff in there, do we know who did the sound? They really miss David Thiel, Wonka sounded horrendous, I hope this also doesn't sound like a slot.
What's up with the stuck on figures, they look cheap and nasty. Wish there was a cool mech or something, I can't see any innovation at all.
Edit: the virtual pin idea sucks
Not sure if people read the fine print but callouts are by Bo Peep. Of all the characters to choose from...
Quoted from yancy:Fresh ain't the problem. People are clamoring for 27-year-old IP.
Who do you know that ever requested a pinball machine based on Toy Story 4? I'll wait.
My Mrs just watched the trailer and immediately said "What? Why only Toy Story 4???"
Showed the trailer to my son and he said "Eh? Why is it only Toy Story 4, where is slinky dog?"
You can't make this up...
Quoted from PtownPin:Personally I don't really care thats its TS 4 .... when u push the start button I'm sure u feel like your playing TS. I care more about the crazy pricing, and the reduced BOM...oh how I miss the old JJP
From the clips I've seen it looks like you're playing a carnival themed ticket redemption game, the toy story characters are just window dressing.
