Because these are games, not dioramas. JP Pro has a great variety of shots that feel good to hit and combo. GnR (at least all the examples I've tried) are clunkfests with weak flippers and shots that don't flow well even when you do make them.
One looks great, the other plays great. I prefer the playing great machine.
