I might be late to the party here, but for me, I had to loosen that switch a bit... After removing the cover, you could try adjusting the screw there a bit to see if you can find the sweet spot where it will stay in place and still actuate the switch properly. Make sure it registers when a ball passes through, not just your finger. Good luck.
