I am waiting to get a new plastic ramp for the left side as I cut mine to do Slink. Slink is now on the right side over stock wireforms. I was at the store today and really dug the purple Zurg. Once I get the stock ramp installed I will work out having the cannon arm animated by the balls going to return. I know its the wrong era Zurg, but visually it just works for me atleast.

Mounting Zurg with disc removed from Gaby figure. I look forward to working out the bobbing cannon arm.. if theres any interest in this as a mod I would be open to it. Follow the attempt and we will see.

Quick test of Zurg. The gun is front heavy, but I will try to add a counter weight to it when I have time. It works. I just need to tweak the design.

Logan, you should work for JJP. Both of your mods are for more creative than pretty much anything in the machine currently. Amazing work!

Thanks for the complement. I would have passed on the game for $12k (still bugs me), but my wife and son wanted it. I enjoy the game alot, I just do not understand the lack of toys in a toy story machine? Jjp should have someone whos only job is to look at the machine and say we can do better….
This machine has made me see that there are opportunities to make mechanical mechs with ramps or wireforms. That is something I will try to expand on going forward and very cool to figure out.

The arm is heavy and I had to figure out a good contact point for flip up arm to be located. The post blocker stops the ball and as a result I had to extend the arm out to solve ball getting stuck. There is enough speed now from a dead stop to get past arm. I am trying to find the sweet spot for more action(see picture) , but heres test #2. I will try counter weight as soon as I can figure that out to even the tipping point. I know Zurg is a creative choice, but I really like the look. He is looking at the player and the cannon is aimed at you as well.

Both ramp mods are a must for the machine

I have Zurgs arm activated by a gate and actuator rod. I am still dialing it in, but I might cut Zurgs body down a little more to give the cannon arm more room to move. Its a very large arm and it was striking the playfield glass. I put in limiting rods on tilt mech to solve. Pictures of the gate and rod mech and a multiball video.

Would be so cool, if you can add a sound and lights to this mod so when his arm goes up it makes a photon gun shot sound and possibly 3 red leds in his canon that flash at the same time.

Use a Stumblor addon board, I think a lolly gi board would work? Ask Davey the creator.

I am still waiting for the plastic ramp. Once I get it I will get back to it and try other things with Zurg. I know its the wrong Zurg and nothing to do with the machine, but he just works for me. The color is also perfect.
