Quoted from playtwowin:

Still in. Very sorry for your frustration. This game definitely needs this mod. Happy to wait as I do not want to add to your frustration. Pinball is supposed to be a fun hobby and if we can make some money while doing it then great. But do not let it frustrate you to the point that you do not look to pinball for enjoyment. Thanks again for all of your hard work.

Thanks for the comments. I do appreciate that. I had simuliar problem with star wars pro left ramp and I ended up pulling the mod for costs. (Too high).
I test fit and play test everything I sell on my game. If you have had the pleasure of removing the left connecting ramp on toy story you would also understand how much time that consumes. And its held in place by micro screws with micro nuts under the ramp. You have to remove the tablet. And when you go to put it back together you have place the tablet and ramp in place together loosely. Its lunacy. The plate has to be drilled and have recesses for the micro screw to sit flush inside the plate atatching to ramp. Its a miserable designed assembly by Jjp to take apart and assemble. And thinking about doing this multiple times a week is soul crushing.
If I only built this mod for the next few weeks I truely would be miserable. I enjoy creating wireforms, but not this one. Theres a beauty to Sterns in that they have simplified, reliable assemblies with ramps and I wish they made Toy Story. I expect to lose alot of people over the price and I completely understand. I hope this explains it.

If your passing just pm me and I will remove you from the list.

I am only willing to make them for people on my current interested list. I will not take anymore names for it. I will also engrave numbers on the plates and post when the last one is sold. The maximum # built will be 56 no more. I would be shocked if it goes over 10.

Is it possible to just sell the slinky dog part of the mod? Or does the slinky dog installation require removal and replacement of the left connecting ramp? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

The dog only works with the removal of the entire ramp. I have stepped away from this mod and forum topic since my last post. Sorry for the delay, but I have creative issues with this mod mentally. I can spend a day making gotg ramps without frustration and not feeling like its work. Those are huge sweeping ramps with alot of detai and it just feels artistic. I just cant get there with jjp’s ramp design, its just miserable work.

Thanks. Here is the link to the bolt on Slink mod. Very easy to install over right wireform and has animated head as previous version. I thought it made sense to make it a different topic. I will be selling these kits.

I am starting a new list. If your interested in this version please pm me. Cost will be $220 shipped.

Can you sell me just the Hardware to mount the tail and the Head with instructions where to drill the mounting rods for both the head and the tail ends? I bought a slinky dog off of amazon and took off the slinky portion and see that it can simply be spun around the ramp like you would when adding a key to a key ring. The slinky portion and metal portion of the tail are being powder coated to the TS CE color. I just need to see if a support is required across the underside of the slinky to keep from drooping on the wire for a ramp…did you put a rod from the head to the tail portion?

Thanks for any help suggestions ideas!! Maybe slinky mod 3?

#208 11 months ago

Just noticed you do have a rod going from the head to the tail…through the slinky to keep it from drooping down. Is there anyway you could thread the ends of the rod, and then insert and epoxy a female threaded receiver for the rod to be screwed into.

That way all of the pieces could be added and built out to the ramp without having to do anything other tha. Removing a couple of screws??

Thoughts?

#209 11 months ago

Or if I could just buy the rod and have you put a receiver on each end to screw into the mounting rod that could work too…Willing to buy the hardware and pay for your time? Thoughts?

This mod just feels like it should have been included from factory…beautiful & functional…

Yeah, but you know if JJP put all the character toys on there, people would complain about how the playfield is littered with "Happy Meal toys", the exact same way they complained about how there weren't enough toys on the playfield from the factory.

I think they made the right choice in not adding too many at the factory so as to allow the end user to add toys/customize as they see fit.

#214 11 months ago

Isn't that exactly what they did though, litter the playfield with cheap happy meal (cake topper) toys?

Not nearly as much as they could have. You know Disney, I'm sure there's a million different versions and sizes of every Toy Story character ever made out there. They could've easily found something of everyone in the game and put them in it.

#217 10 months ago

I tried and gave up, it wasn’t lining up right and I didn’t want to scratch the wire ramp! Maybe I will give it another go but for now it’s in the coin box
