Quoted from Chuckwebster:

I'm helping a friend set up his Ghostbusters for a charity tournament. He plans on having the game on free play for standard use and and wanted to use the tournament button to help raise some cash for Project Pinball. The problem is if the game is on free play it makes the tournament button on free play too. Does anyone know a way to keep the game on free play but set the tournament button for $2?

There is no way to do it directly in the software. A workaround is to put an oddball token accepter in, take the coin switch wires off the coin slot for that accepter, put the wires that were going to the tournament start button to the coin switch, and each token that is put in starts a tournament game.

You then sell the tokens for your two dollars, and the game is on freeplay if the start button is pressed, and is a tournament game if a token is inserted and passes the coin switch that is wired to the tournament start button instead.

I actually made a harness to do this for a Pirates-otC, and it works well, as long as you explain the difference between normal and tournament to the players, and have someway to "sell" the tokens for the price you want (person, attendant, etc.)
