We're trying something a bit different here. There have been lots of great tournaments for Barry and Python and the mood was so awesome we wanted to make it a regular thing. Roughly every 3 months we'll be throwing a tournament for a different non-profit. The first one up is PACT Humane Society in Bloomingdale, IL. The format is 3 strikes with random match and game draws. Minimum donation is $20.

On June 28th we'll be having a bash at John's house on his ridiculously awesome EM collection. More info and signup is at the link below. Because it's at his home we have to cap it at 40 players. Signup opens Saturday May 17th at 12:01AM.

It's going to be a lot of fun, for a good cause, and on a beautiful EM collection! Did I mention Amigo? Amigo, baby!

I'll try to put in that special request just for you!

We're over half way full now at 22 people and we're adding a second tournament after the main one!

Right after the dinner break we will have a "survivor" style tournament where the lowest scoring player on each game is out. To give an idea of how that works, player 1 starts game 1 and sets a score. They wait until player 2 plays the same game and whoever has the lowest score stays on that game until either someone sets a lower score or their last place and therefore eliminated. Once you pass the lowest score on a game, you move on to the next one. Keep going until you're the last player standing!

This is the second chance I've had at seeing Johns collection and of course the second time that previous commitments keep me from going
    Oh well someday

Less than a month to go and we're at 34 people signed up! As long as the form is open for registration on the site, there's still room.

We've added a survivor style side tournament following the main one. More info on how that works is on the site above as well.

About a week and a half until the tournament. Get signed up on the site if you haven't yet! We have about 5 spots left open.

The time is almost here! There are less than a handful of spots left in the reserve list (all signed up will play). Register now if you haven't yet to guarantee a spot. Registration will close on Friday.

My wife and I are signed up, we plan to be there but have been having electrical issues at the house an have a guy coming Saturday to check it out. We're hoping not to miss it. Is it OK to come late and miss the tourney but donate and play for fun?

Certainly! You could make the second tournament if you happen to come late. We plan to run the survivor tournament shortly after the main.

You can just print the pic and Sharpie it right in!

Thanks again Art for putting on this event and John for hosting. My Family had an awesome time.

Yes, thanks to Art and especially John for opening his home and amazing collection to a bunch of us knuckleheads. My feet have finally recovered from last night's epic Lone Survivor tourney, which I was fortunate enough to win. An exhausting but fulfilling day of pinball on the best private EM collection I've ever seen. When I got home I passed out sitting in my office chair while catching up on email.

If I recall correctly, Chuck Jackson won the main tourney. Can't remember who finished 2nd and 3rd.

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday! It was quite a long, but fun, day of pinball! I'll be sending out emails shortly with all the finals info but wanted to provide a short update. First, thanks to John and his family for having us all over. Also a special thank you to Dave who is the other half (and creator) of this fun charity tourney idea. I might be the vocal one but he's the silent mastermind.

We had exactly 40 people as razerx snuck in at the last minute. Therefore we raised $800 for PACT Humane Society. They sent me a kind note yesterday and are extremely grateful to all of the pin fanatics who chipped in.

The results will be sent to the IFPA today but for the main tourney it was:
    1. Chuck Jackson
    2. Jack Benson
    3. Alan Darby

As Yancy said, he was the Lone Survivor as of 11PM! He and Tim Smith finished up the final match on the lightning fast Cannes.

You guys and gals rock. See you next time!

    What a great time!
Congrats to Yancy, Chuck, Jack and Alan!
Most of all, thanks to John and Art for making it all happen!

Crap, the electrician didnt get out until 6 last night so we thought we missed everything. If we realised it would go that late we would have gotten over there.

    My feet still hurt.
