Great job on Totan, gimme a heads up when and if you do decide!

    #12 6 years ago

I'm sure it looks great in person.. but flash photography in a dark space really doesn't show it off... that and pics out of focus..
Enjoy it though.. wish I still had mine..

    #13 6 years ago

Wow super clean I like the side decals.

    Is that lamp a mod?
Does it spin as well as the plastic lamp?

Yes for some reason I don't care for them either. Just seems too much I guess.

yes its the pinball decals inc one. seems to spin like the stock one. i think its a stock lamp. been shiney brass/gold plated and jewels added. it is very nicely done.

Looks damn nice....until you added the blue and red tubing. Sorry, man, but sometimes less is more.

About it being the third pic or that they look bad?

    #25 6 years ago

    Slick work BigLaw.

What's the story on the fireball mod on the Genie's right hand--FS anywhere or hobbyist idea?

    Looking sharp!

I get the purpose of the tubes, but make them black and it'll look way better and blend in

Maybe it's my age, but I'm more of a purist when it comes to restoring games. In this case, biglaw did a beautiful job on restoring the cabinet, but went a bit over the top with the tubing. I mean, what's the purpose, other than to add color, which for me, just looks wrong.

If I were interested in buying this game, I'd lift the playfield and the first thing my eye would be drawn to would be the tubes, instead of the beautiful cabinet work. But, to each his own. The rest of it looks damn nice!!

    Looks great! Nice work!

Its just plastic wire protection anyway with ties in it could just come right off. Think it keeps stuff neat I'd prefer black but I don't care what the wires look like as long as it plays and its mine.

I agree with Bryan on this one. They really stand out like a soooore thumb. Just make them black and they'd look great, right? I think the issue is they stand out really hard

That was one crazy road trip ... 12 hours one way!

    Allen,

Since then... I've added the gold ruby lantern, color changing LED treasure chest, and the Skeleton mod. I have my Pinball Pro speaker kit sitting in a box ready for the swap. The pins looks amazing and still plays as perfect as day one
