Hi all, I saw an alert that the magnet lock “is broken”, sure enough it does not work. It’s giving off a burning smell and it’s hot to the touch. I removed the magnet and looked at all of the solder points and it looks good. Do I have a bad magnet or some other larger problem? Thanks!

I'm not too familiar with the magnet wiring on these but in general if something is how and burn smelling its either getting a continuous run of current its not supposed to, too much or too little current or somehow the wiring could be shorted at the magnet. Again I am not too familiar and I'm not near my documents but if you can find in your manual the voltage specs and test that as well as see how its wired on the schematic and check for shorts. That's just a general catch all suggestion. Maybe someone here with more on hand knowledge will chime in soon.
