Trying to finish my newest decal set for totan. Can someone tell me what the yellow square target to the right of the genie does?
The red chest will be on a transparent polypropylene with graphic blocker under the chest. The light from the target will pass through the chest cover and illuminate the gold but the rest of the chess will have light blocker. Can’t wait to see these on games

Yellow stand-up to right of Genie counts as a hit to the Genie; I may be mistaken but it acts as a sort of a contingency / redundancy if the Genie is not working (the target is always active so you have two ways to get a Genie hit).

i always wondering if it was that the main reason of that stand-up.
Need a favor. I am reproducing the bracket for the skillshot plastic (01-14208) and could use some measurements.
This is the plastic... it is at the bottom right next to the shooter lane. If someone could pop the playfield and get measurements of their bracket that would be great. No need to remove it. I really just need length and width. Guessing it is 16 gauge.

Also wondering how this attaches? I guess the plastic is riveted on? Probably 6-32 1/2" hex head screws under the playfield?
Here's what I have so far...

And PSA, I am doing a batch of metal parts this fall, PM me if you need something.

I don't know gauges, but the plastic thickness is just under an 1/8". The length on my machine is 14 3/16" and the plastic is riveted to the metal angle and the metal angle is 6-32 1/2" hex head screws.

We are looking for measurements of the metal bracket though (we have the plastic). Thanks for confirming the rivets/screws!

Ah, I saw the 9 1/2" length in your drawing and figured you had that already. LOL
The angle bracket is 9 1/2" long and looks like a little over 1/32" thick. Each leg of the angle is 1/2".

Excellent, thank you very much!!!
I’ve had my TOTAN for ten years and have played thousands of games and just got my third-ever “Move Your Carpet!” callout.
I had started Flying Carpet when I shot a left orbit, followed by a ramp shot (diverted to the left) when it played. I’m not sure if that specific sequence of shots triggers it or if it’s really just random, but I’m eager to test it out.
Also of note: the swooping flying carpet graphic showed on the display, but it wasn’t colorized by the ColorDMD.

If colorDMD didn’t do its thing, the sequence must be really rare.

Curious to try this now
Ok, still trying to figure out the “Move your carpet” combo. The assumptions I’m going by is #1 it’s in Flying Carpet mode and #2 it’s some type of combo.
When you start the flying carpet mode, the Harem, Star, and the right Fireball are lit.
If you hit the ramp successfully once, the ball returns to the right flipper (unless you have the locks lit, then it goes to the left flipper) You then have Tiger loop, both Fireball (left & right), Star, and Carpet flashing.
So what I’ve tried so far after the first successful ramp shot:
A. Tried immediately hitting the ramp again from the right flipper not hitting anything else
B. Tried a Tiger loop then an immediate ramp not hitting anything else.
Hitting the Harem loop before hitting the first ramp doesn’t make sense because the ball gets hung up on the orbit. It’s most likely a clean combo.
Other than this, I’m not sure what other combos to try

Is there a certain Cliffy version for the scoop that works well for people? I have a Cliffy for it, but it didn’t work with the scoop hood clearance being too tight. I tried bending the hood but nothing worked, I mangled the hood and installed an entire new scoop. Cliffy didn’t work with the new scoop either. So now I just use Mylar there until I can find one that doesn’t impede the ball.
If you have the one ordered from Cliffy it should work. I do remember having to futz it a little to get it right
Ok I played a little bit of the Digital version of TOTAN last night (TPA) and noticed a couple shots I haven’t seen IRL. #1 First off is the Harem sneak in which is the very right orbit into the ball lock. I’m guessing I’ve never done it. #2 is when you get a weak right ramp diverted and it rolls back. The digital drops the ball into the right return ramp. On my game, the ball rolls all the way back into the pops. Not sure if I need to tweak something or is that normal. #3 is the secret lock. If you get a weak left diverted ramp the ball falls down into the lock. I do notice there is a very small split in the ramp but not sure if a ball can even fall through that.
Any thoughts on these shots and have any of you accomplished them?

The harem multiball happens on my TOTAN every once in awhile. I get the sneaky scoop from the pops, so the more shots to the pops the more I see that infrequent multiball. Cool when it happens. I don’t think the secret ball lock happens on mine. But with 3 ball lock lanes, it’s pretty easy to lock em up.
I have pics of the 2 shots. You can see a failed ramp shot has the notch cut out to drop into the right return ramp, but the ball will never go down there unless something bizarre happens. The digital one always landed in the right ramp vs the rear pops. The secret lock is possible (the ball will go there but it’s tight). The issue with mine is the ball gets caught on the plastics below. I’m guessing I need to adjust something. I think I remember it getting caught there, didn’t realize it was supposed to be a secret lock
Ok so I moved and tightened the plastic behind the Genie. Looks like the ball will clear now for the Secret Lock shot. Now I’m curious what you need to do in order to secret lock. It doesn’t lock automatically going down that hole. So far I just get the Harem bonus
Ok, so I got the Secret Lock working. It’s a weak left ramp, down the hole and the top lock switch triggers it. I can’t seem to get the Harem Sneak in to work. I’ll try and figure out what triggers that. A left or right weak tiger loop into the lock gives me a secret lock. So I’m guessing some other mode or something needs to be started for the Sneak in to register
Quoted from thechakapakuni2:This seems to be “escaping” me, does anybody know which switch is Escape?

Yup just found it. Thanks! I was looking for an Escape on the playfield

If i remember well, the harem sneak in is triggered by the harem passage switch under the playfield tunnel. Check that this swith is registering to make sure you’ll get it.

Yeah I just did, it’s working. Wondering if I’m bugged, I’ve never seen it. I’ve seen it several times on the digital so that’s why I started switch testing. I’ll try futzing with it but I may just be SOL
Update: ok, that was it noitbe1 . I was testing the switch from under the PF and it was in fact registering fine. But when I dropped a ball down the hole it didn’t. Even though the switch looked fine and was getting depressed by the ball, it wasn’t enough to register. So I bent the switch to insure a rollover would register - and it does. Just saw my first Harem Sneak in after owning this for several years. Who knew?
Ok, now that the Secret Lock & Harem Sneak in are working. I’m curious about the right ramp fail rollback. The digital version always drops a failed right ramp into the right return ramp. Right now mine sends the ball all the way back into the pops. Does everyone have the same result from a right ramp fail shot?

Mine goes into the pops.
Wow! There’s a Harem Sneak-in 2. Never ever seen that before even in the digital. Dudes eyes come popping out

It’s rare in real life for the ball to fall onto the right ramp like that. It happens, but only when the ball is moving at a specific velocity.
Nice! Yeah it almost feels like a new game now with that switch working. I was wondering why some Harem multiballs only had 1 ball and didn’t work right. Weird I didn’t figure out the switch wasn’t working before now. Glad I played the digital, it kinda showed me the way
Hi all, just joined the club.
I have an issue with the audio on my pin. It only occurs at a few areas like at the end of ball bonus and the very beginning of starting a new game where the narrator says "In Ancient Arabia" or something it just completely cuts out and after a few seconds music returns. The pin has a pinsound board in it. Can someone help a newb to this kind of stuff out please?

I had a simular issue with my Indy recently. It ended up being a connectors issue. I think reseating the main connectors on the power driver board. On TOTAN that would be J127, J128, J129. Also try emailing Pinsound support. They are pretty good and you’ll need to copy the diag file from the Pinsound USB. Good luck
