Yesterday i noticed that there is some parts missing and i don't know what it is.
Can someone tell me where to find the piece that is missing in the right side of the ramp near the " Colect jewel" part?
And also there is two holes in the right side of the ramp next to the genie, can anyone tell me what it's for, and why there is this two holes, and what is the object i need to buy. thanks

Looks like you're missing the ball guide for the right of the ramp, but that attaches to the two posts with yellow sleeves. There used to be a few Pinsiders who sold those, but I don't see any on the Marketplace now. Someone drilled those two holes in your ramp - those shouldn't be there.

Is the left ramp supposed to make it around to the left side easily?
I think that only 1 in 5 shots makes it through there, the rest falls behind the genie because of a lack of speed.
I don't think flipper strength is the issue, even had balls fly off the ramp because of the speed!
My ramps might need some adjusting and the ramp flap is a bit crooked by the looks of it

Other then that: fixed 1 skill shot switch, fixed 1 lock switch, fixed the right cage + opto and took apart the genie to make it more sensative

i had that too, just buy new coil and bat set, you will have the strenght again to make it all the way, if you send it in a correct way it should always go to the fireball coil . i had that problem too when i bought it

Thanks for the advice. The weird thing is: sometimes the ball flies off the ramp because of the high speed, so it seems it loses a lot of speed on the ramp Will clean the mechs en replace sleeves and coilstops to begin with.

Also, that plastic piece behind the Genie that covers the gap between the two ramp segments isn't in the original design. Someone did some serious modding on your game.

hooo now that you talk! indeed! it seems it's used to gather the ramps togheter since they are in very bad shape and some parts are broken. but i have already ordered the 3 new ramps Thank you for pointing it out!

Before and after!

1. Gi was dim and connectors ok, found out the diodes in the lower left of the cpu desoldered themselves. I took the diodes out and did the jumper modification/ bulletproofing.

2. Replaced the bulbs with frosted warm white leds and took out the blue leds behind the genie.

3. Backside of the translite is very dirty, still needs cleaning so it will be even more pretty!

So I also have rejects when the ball travels to the left ramp and my flipper is strong. The right ramp seems to shake a little which causes the ball to lose speed and either barely make it over or reject and fall down.

Is there anything I should check on the ramps or connecting bw right and left belt replacing flipper mech? I really think it’s not the flipper as the ball really has speed as it enters the right ramp

EDIT - I was able to resolve this and leaving my update here in case others have the same issue.

My TOTAN is restored and the flippers are super strong. The ramps are brand new. After taking a video I could see there was some give right before the ball went into the left ramp/transition point. By putting some buffer (double sided clear tape) between the right ramp and 1st pop bumper, the give that was happening is no longer there and the ball goes around when it should. It still doesn't work if you have a lighter hit/not clean (as that shouldn't go over by design) but a nice clean shot always goes around which is awesome.

Cleaned the right flipper mech, changed coilstop and coilsleeves en the right flipper is much more powerful now. Also found out that the hex spacers below the ramps were not completely screwed on, so that explains why the ramp moved more then it should and the ball lost speed.

The ball goes up de ramp pretty easy right now, but the flap at the entry is a bit crooked and makes the ball lose speed. I will probably do a playfield teardown in a few weeks and repair or change this.

What color spring should be on the shooter rod? The reason I ask is I just join the club this past weekend and I finally got to the main wizard mode a couple times but once I have two balls in my shooter lane I can’t get it up with my current spring

Currently shopping out my playfield. The inserts are all in LED, but the GI is not (yet).

The GI has a lot of dimming during gameplay, I imagine that would be a problem if I replace the bulbs with LEDs?
Is a LED OCD board a must on this game?

I have both LED OCD and GI OCD board in my game. The GI OCD board is a must because of the dimming. Otherwise, you'll get this nasty strobing effect.

Hello everyone. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off “award jewel(s)”, when the choice pops up? I looked through the manual, but might have missed it.

Selecting jewels is cheap way to get to wizard mode.

There isn’t. Just don’t select it.

The left option will always be Collect Jewel - there's no way around it. The rule at my house is to take the right-flipper option, unless you have the ruby.

Man I was going the opposite there. Translite is stunning. Art blades are ok. Still getting both.

Ruby is always a nice way to grab two quick jewels. I try to spin the lamp more than I should, as the bonuses can be huge if you get tons of spins. It does make ball control dicey. I can collect all the jewels about every third game, I agree it’s not super hard. But I always lose the second half of the wizard mode, the battle with the genie for the princess. I just can’t free her from that bottle! Such a great pin.

Once I've collected the jewels and battled the Genie, my goal for the rest of the game is to max out the bonus and get the multiplier up to 12X.

Some informations to share about arabian night sample playfield. I have a totan (n°88) with a sample playfield. I Can spot 3 differences with final playfield.

-book is written "tales of the arabian night" instead of "genie battle"

-on the text between flippers, it's written "shoot genie to lite locks" instead of "shoot génie to lite locks & begin tales"

- missing a wire ball guide and artwork holes for it on the playfield just à the right of the genie

If anyone have spot other Differences, tell us!
