Quoted from pintechev:Funny. Mine has that, and I don't think I've ever noticed it! Looks like an anti-ball trap plastic.
Yep, that's exactly what it's for.

Quoted from jsa:I get an obnoxious amount of air balls that seem to happen when this target gets a direct hit:
Any thoughts on why and what I could do to prevent it?
I have the same problem ... not sure what the solution is ?
Quoted from Whitewater:I have the same problem ... not sure what the solution is ?
If no one suggests a reason/alternative, I think my next move would be to raise that target a half a centimeter or so. It's somehow acting like a ramp.

I think this target is supposed to be an A-18530-6 standard oblong target (yellow) instead of the A-18017-6 3D target thats shown in your picture. The 3D target is supposed to be behind the two newton balls and up next to the genie. I believe the TOTAN manual has these called out backwards. Either that, or Marco has them listed backwards (part numbers swapped)

Yeah that is the wrong target but if you can get some extra small foam insulation, inside that target, it would help to deaden the ball speed.

Excellent, I was hoping it was something this simple. Thanks!
Quoted from snowvictim:joined the club?
Negative.
Plenty of good fortune here, but not on the totan front -- other than a good friend just got one, so at least I can play his sometimes.

Ah, shame. I hope you manage to get your hands on one as soon as possible (and for as little money as possible)! I remember whacking TOTAN on PinballArcade, when I discovered it, for a few months before I became one of the people lucky enough to own one. Don't give up! I had to wait on mine for 4 years!
Quoted from Stokoloog:Looking forward to get some. Will these only be available through you or are these going to be distributed to different internet shops, so I can order local here in Europe?
They will be available thru any of the resellers ...
Quoted from AlexSMendes:Why didn't anyone tell me that this colordmd thing would be an addiction?
Cause it's so damn expensive! haha
I was looking at my TOTAN a while ago, and I couldn't help but wonder... What's the purpose of that piece of plastic with the posts that's above the left ramp? Any ideas?
Quoted from Radrog:If I put this pin in market place is 11k asking to much?
yes ! looks nice though...quick glance and id say 8k. thats just my opinion. how does it look around the genie magnet, orb and bazzar kick out ?
Quoted from Radrog:If I put this pin in market place is 11k asking to much?
Yes...good luck.
8k, little more reasonable.
But, I can buy a brand new Hobbit for that much. With so many titles being made now prices have been falling a bit. Even HEP restorations aren't holding there value. Only so many collector's with deep pockets.
Quoted from Radrog:Go buy an HEP or an origanal in new condition. Think about it.....lol
You asked for opinion.
Thanks. HEP is selling for at least 11k. My point is. 11k is what it will take to even considering selling. Nothing less. Thanks for your recommendation
I bought a Treasure Cove restoration with no Cliffy's or playfield wear and practically no insert ghosting about 6 months ago for $7400. It also had original cabinet silkscreen art with essentially no fade. The restoration probably was from 6-7 years ago. I think about $8000 is reasonable but at times you find a guy who has been waiting quite awhile and might jump at a somewhat higher price.
That piece of plastic above the left ramp with the posts is just sn ornament. It does nothing for the play of the game. It's above the ramp.

Yeah, I figured that out. I was just wondering what kind of ornament it was. It doesn't really tie into the gameplay in any way :/
The LED conversion is a standard CoinTaker with soft LED and strips.
Once we a complete it and put the glass on I was thinking we might need to pull one of the strips causing the purple
Quoted from Radrog:Blinded by purple
I got some purple on me looking at pics.
Machine looks great thou.

I'm curious which kit you are using. Is this the Super Premium, Super, or Frosted? I didn't think any of these kits came with LED strips.
I'm partial to the regular Super because I use the LED/GI OCD boards. I find the frosted to be a little too "birthday cakey" for me.
I have the snake. NO idea where i got it.
I like the lion and the mirror blades.
Maybe ill add those.

I think Nasman is also on the forum. But looking at the video and his other video's I think this is homemade. He is quite a talent with mods and restoration.
