Quoted from angus:Anybody else getting balls stuck like this?
It's not uncommon, especially on brand new lightning fast games with glass-smooth clear coat. When my Tron LE was new, it played like the laws of physics didn't exist, but eventually settled down.
Quoted from crwjumper:To fit better in my lineup I was wondering if I could add longer legs to it.
Embrace the variety! I like having a Stern beside a wedgehead beside Panthera. It’s nice to appreciate all the different cabinet designs over several decades. Don’t want my pinball collection to look like a shelf of DVD cases.
Quoted from jesselee72:Got my TNA CASSETTE! Loaded into a Wurlitzer cassette jukebox.
Mad props on the Jellyfish cassingle.
Quoted from yancy:I can't think of any advantage to nudging the hell out of TNA with no ball in play.
On second thought, I guess some a-hole could try to knock balls out of the lock.
Quoted from BillySastard:People actually give a shit about that?
People lose sleep over pinside rankings. Same shit, different format.
Quoted from onceler:I believe what you are seeing is a quick, manual plunge before the intentionally delayed auto launch kicks in.
...and the code is smart enough to not fire the launcher at an empty shooter lane if you've already plunged.
High-level tournaments could use a little more variance. I'm tired of watching four experts surgically dismantle modern games with no lock stealing, derandomized awards, etc. It's more "fair" but also more boring. Andromeda was amazing at Pinburgh finals.
That new multiball rule of saving only the first three balls is going to change things a LOT. I probably get an average of six balls saved per multiball (yes, I suck). More if I'm purposely draining to soft plunge the reactor.
I do kinda wish there but a bonus meltdown a la Firepower II where the pitch goes so high it rolls over, but not at the expense of sweet bass drops.
If the ball is dropping down a lane that doesn't give much action (usually the "O" if I recall correctly) grab the game and wiggle side-to-side as it exits the lane. This should cause it to either veer left toward the flipper, or right toward the sling. Then give it a sharp, well-timed forward nudge if your sling isn't very sensitive.
Quoted from Aniraf:I don’t understand why that outlet on the wall is horizontal? I’ve never seen anything like that.
Illinois thing, no idea why. I’ve never seen a normal one here. Sucks for anything designed vertical, like those outlet covers with built-in night lights.
Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Oh, and make sure it’s correctly leveled and not pitched too low or it’s gonna be drain city in the outlanes!
Good point. Steeper is better! Most of my Sterns have the level bubble split in half by the top black line. Iron Maiden is the only recent Stern I've played where standard pitch feels the best.
