Could the tilt through be solved with a software fix. Essentially at the start of a new player do not register tilt warnings until the ball leaves the shooter lane?

Quoted from stevevt:

That won't solve the problem when the tilt bob is still swinging as the next player's ball is in play. Just use an ear plug; it's not that hard.

Typically in tournaments players wait for the tilt to settle between players, especially if the player before is playing more aggressively.

Quoted from Pinzap:

Scott, are you implying that they could somehow affect the score of their game by abusing the game while the ball is still in the shooter lane? Otherwise, I'm not sure how this would affect anything the operator would care about.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that if someone wants to shake a machine for no reason, they could shake it whether the ball is in the shooter lane or not... even without a game coined up. So, I guess I'm not sure why ignoring the tilts when the ball is in the shooter lane (waiting to be launched) is a bad idea. Especially since TNA has an auto launch so that once the first launch is attempted, it's game on. Ok, I suppose if there's a loose or very sensitive switch that is somehow giving points, then shaking the hell out of it while the ball is still there would potentially give someone a free game... but it would seem like a long tiring adventure not worth going on.

I agree with above. I can certainly abuse a game anytime, even if the game is turned off! I don't see the advantage here for the player to move the game while it is in the shooter lane. Honestly if anything they are likely to nudge the ball enough off the lane switch to start qualifying tilt warnings again anyways!!!

How did Stern and in the Past Williams / Bally deal with this same issue? I don't recall tilt through being an issue on modern games until TNA?

Quoted from moonduckie78:

Yes! Me too. After updating to 1.3.1 Beta, I notice the left flipper is real buzzy.
Should I be concerned?

My right flipper is very buzzy after the latest beta upgrade as well.

Quoted from Aniraf:

I installed that Noctua fan and I can confirm it is way quieter. That said, it is a little more involved than I had hoped. It took me about 50 minutes and there are a few tight spaces to deal with.
Hands down, the most important part is to ensure you have the correct sized Phillips head screwdrivers. The entire power supply cage is held together by tiny screws that strip really easily.
Additionally, now that I can hardly hear the fan, I hear something else. I can’t tell exactly what it is, but I think it is a high pitched noise coming from the HookedOnPinball lighted side rails. Has anyone else noticed that?

I had the same problem. It is being grounded, take out the top side rail screws and use a screw driver and grind it around in the hole to separate the side rail light a bit from the screw hole then reinsert the screws. If you need more explaination send me a pm.

Wow, interesting read.

However I will say replacing rubber rings and fixing solder joints on coils is routine pinball maintenance. It sounds like someone who bought a pinball machine who didn't know what they were getting into.

The play-field issue does suck, personally I would be happy with a second play-field. I'd just do a bit of touch up on the first and play on knowing I'd have a fresh minty one in the closet for down the road.

Unfortunately I am going to need to leave the TNA club for now. If you know anyone heading to the Allentown show who is looking for a TNA, send them my way...
