How much are the distributors taking off MSRP?
pinballstar I can see why YOU like fixed pricing but I'd much rather spend an hour (tops) making phone calls and saving $500. This is not being done because it's "convenient for the customer".
I'm not trying to pick on your business but if it's going to be 6k from anywhere I don't see why people wouldn't get the entirety of that sum to Spooky who is actually making and supporting it. I'm trying to figure out what spooky gets out of it when they're doing direct sales and shipping to send out games to a middle man and make smaller margins. Being able to sell more since distributors will stock them without buyers already lined up?
I think once the are more "out in the wild" it could really take off. Big concerns are not having played it and whether or not it has staying power as a one player game. It's also hard to wrestle with the high price point for a game that is so simple. No doubt the sound and light show are sweet but damn that price tag.
Are you going to make the meatwall external cabinet mod available to pinsiders? Could probably get some crossover purchases from RZ.
I hope they're not planning on building nightmare castle anytime soon. I think orders are going to keep coming in the more these get out in the wild. Need one in central VA soon!
A few of the LEDs are mixed up on the TNA I have. For instance, when the right "destroy' target should be flashing the "9" reactor light blinks (or maybe it was the 2, not sure). All lamps work appropriately during the "all" test but quite a few are mixed up during individual. I assumed this might be a flipped ribbon cable somewhere but at a quick glance all the ribbon cables appeared to be facing the same direction. Is this a common thing?
It turned out someone had previously switched the positions of two cables on one of the light boards causing a bunch of mismatches.
Is there any way to clear the coin drop audits without also clearing the high scores? I hit the clear credits but it didnt seem to affect any coin drop audits. I cleared the other audits and all high scores were lost.
Why not keep a separate counter? That's pretty inconvenient if you're operating it on location and trying to track coin drop.
I'll check back next time I'm on location. But when I did it, it only cleared the credits on the machine and the audits still read the same.
Sounds like I whiffed I'll take a look but I swear I went up and down that thing looking for something like that. Wouldn't be the first time I missed something that obvious.
In the utilities menu I have
Reset high scores
Clear error report
Set date time
Software version 1.3.0
Am I not looking in the right spot? Reinstall 1.3.0?
Anybody have input on what I can do to resolve the missing reset coin audits menu? Is reinstalling code an option?
Just had a customer text me that TNA is taking dollars and quarters and not awarding credits, even after reboot. Any ideas as to what it might be if it's not just a "doh coin door cable magically got unplugged" type situation?
Edit: Due to the intermittent-ness I chased wires on the door for a long time and finally stumbled on this:
Surprised it held up so long!
The slings in the upper playfield are not firing, but the switches are registering hits and advancing the reactor, etc. Im going to go look at it tomorrow. Is there a separate fuse for these slings or is it likely a connector somewhere?
Seriously nobody's going to give me props on Total NewYear Annihilation? Tough crowd.
Thanks. Trying to get some more multiplayer games going. Co-op is the best concept in pinball right now to get more people playing in a social / friendly regard.
That wasn't meant to be a slam, but genuine advice. I'm just going on what the WHO and every scientific study on this phenomenon seems to come up with.
Throw your monitor away and go talk to somebody.
Got to my location and found this stucky ball today. Couldn't lean it to the side to free it, might have to bend a little wire or something if nobody has anything for it already.
Imma see if I can get Charlie to go in halfsies with me Thanks for the heads up.
(There was supposed to be a silly face emoji but it didnt show up)
It's a joke, but I do feel like this isn't something I should be paying a 3rd party company to create and supply.
You can probably loosen the lane guides and justify the tip upwards and tighten to correct.
I have had multiple issues with solder breaking off of coils and a few different connector issues, and the audit / menu system is bad. There's supposed to be an update to make some changes in the menu but now that Rick and Morty it's on the line I'm not holding my breath.
It's a great game for tournaments but casuals do not play it at my location. I love it but it gets out earned consistently by almost everything.
