Scott is totally AWESOME!! Love the game. I've had the chance to play both the proto game and the production game that's currently at Spooky Pinball. I seriously can't get enough. Not sure what number I am but my order has been placed.

Quoted from xeneize:bryan_kelly Did you notice much difference in game play from white wood to production model?
That game just screams on white wood and I can only imagine that a finished surface is only going to exponentially make it faster.
Please share your feedback!
Personally, I didn't notice any difference at all. Both games play smooth and very fast.
Quoted from pinghetto:#5 here. Can't wait!!
#4 here. I smell a roadtrip when they're done.
Quoted from johnnyutah:My only hope for the animations on the LCD is more of the girl character on the backglass. Hopefully that character will get used more.
We would all like to see more of Mrs. Danesi on the LCD.
Quoted from jwilson:I have to laugh at all the people fawning over the direct print cabinets when back in the 90's it was the STANDARD method - screenprinted art with spot (ie. bright, vibrant) colour inks. Now it's a high-cost option.
Sigh.
Sorry, but that's not even remotely true.
Quoted from trilogybeer:Just took a dollar from Charlie and Bangerjay.
You're my new hero, Doug!!
Quoted from Pmaino:Looks awesome! Will we be able to order those speaker covers as well?
Speaker kits will soon be available.
Quoted from Fortytwo:bryan_kelly I like how you display your marquees. Classy. Did you have any backglasses done the same way?
Nope. Because of the stripes, only marquees would fit.
Quoted from Grizlyrig:bryan_kelly Love that space theme carpet!
-Mike
It's movie theater carpet. My wife had a hook up 20 years ago.
Quoted from FatPanda:Is there a way to get the backboard art, plus the side mirrors like you have in the pics?
The backboard art you see is actually plastic and comes with the game.
Quoted from trilogybeer:It seems as though the music gets kind of more intense as you work your way through the reactors ,so the song for reactor 7 might not work as well for the first reactor .
Kind of like the porn music in Scoregasm!!
Quoted from JustLikeMe:Anyone know the backbox width of TNA?
Edit: And depending on the answer to that question, does anyone know how difficult it would be to remove the backbox? Thinking about logistics here.
Back box is 28 3/4" wide. To remove the head, there are just two carriage bolts that hold the hinges and what appears to be about a dozen cables that need to be disconnected. It all looks pretty straight forward and not too difficult.
Quoted from Aniraf:What did he say? I don't see the post. I personally ordered the knocker because I love the knocker...however I will say I don't love the knocker when you cannot control the knocker volume. For example, my friend has a TOM machine that scares the sh*t out of me every time it goes off.
All the coil strengths can be adjusted. This includes the knocker. So yes, it can be adjusted.
Quoted from DefDumBlindKid:I’m #217, and I opted for the butter cabinet.
Would you mind taking a few pictures for us?
Thanks!
Charlie has already shown what these look like. Pics don't do them justice but I'll try and take a few.
FWIW, here's a FT butter cabinet.
Quoted from SpookyCharlie:It has no decals... special process of printing directly on the wood and then clear coated / buffed to insane levels of shiny & color perfection.
Looks awesome, but it's expensive and if you bounce it off a door frame you will cry for at least an hour.
Our decals are top notch and have a heavy laminate that you won't wear through. Butter cabinets are even better! Hard to get good photos of them really... gotta see them to appreciate.
We'll have a butter cabinet next to a standard at the Texas Pinball Festival in our booth.
I had a guy over a couple days ago that has a TNA on order. After seeing my butter cabinet, he now wants to change his to the same. He was hoping that was possible.
Quoted from patrickvc:I tried to look into the EOS switch and hmmmm traditional looking game up top, underneath not so much.
I noticed that while at Spooky Pinball a couple days ago. Others may, at some point notice, there are no EOS switches on the flipper mechs and wonder WTF. Charlie tells me Mr. Awesome took care of that feature with code instead.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:Uh,... I'm too dumb. Link plz?

Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:You guys need to make a trip to your local Goodwill and pick up a cassette player!
If you were truly awesome, you'd provide a player too.
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:Great idea! I know an old pinball buddy that will give him one for free. He used to be an electrician and now he is retired and does pinball restorations. He takes a bunch of naps and is a super generous dude.
Don't be a dick, Scott!!
Quoted from Trekie:My rotating red light on top of the head box rattles a lot. Can only hear it it attract mode.
Is this the norm?
Yes. That's the way they come from the factory. I added a small bit of teflon grease on the gears and it did the trick.
Quoted from audihere:Does TNA have a radio option in attract mode like Metallica where it will play the 9 songs?
Sorry, but the only way you'll hear all the songs is to get to all the reactors....or buy the cassette.
Quoted from seshpilot:-Adjust all the slings at the top AND the standup targets all over the pf to be appropriately sensitive to ball strikes. This game requires everything to be setup nicely to reward you for accuracy. My game was initially a bit stiff, but is now playing great after some tweaks.
Me and a buddy did the same thing with the standup targets. The foam on new targets is too stiff and it takes a hard direct hit to activate them. We adjusted the contacts as close as we could and now they're much easier to activate. Makes the game a bit more satisfying.
We did the same thing on the pop bumper. I've got the spoon contacts about as close as you can get without vibration activating it. If the ball comes anywhere close to the pop, it activates.
Quoted from SpookyCharlie:We do have some super pretty apron cards he could sign...
Scott spent the night at my house once. I haven't washed the sheets yet. I could cut them up into little pieces and sell them, if there's any interest.
No offense, Chuck, but no one wants the sheets you've used. I've burned them.
Quoted from FatPanda:This is kinda borderline creepy. Not sure when the full creepiness will set in, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed
I have pictures of Scott's wife, but I didn't even want to go there.....oh wait.....never mind.
Quoted from Alamo_Pin:Did you decide against the target decals?
Nope. I must have posted pics to the other thread.
Quoted from FatPanda:Looks great with the decals, the butter, the mirrors, the grills, now all you need are the side rail lights!
I'd like to see the side rail lights in person first.
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:Come on over!!
Does Charlie have them? We may be visiting him in a few weeks.
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:He does not yet. They actually look really good. I gotta hand it to Robert at Hooked on Pinball, he did a great job. I am also one who is not really into mods, so take that for what it is worth.
Just ordered a set. They better look good. I may be old but you only weigh 105 pounds. I think I could take you.
Quoted from trilogybeer:In 24 hours I will be at spooky picking up my game.
Don't forget to tell Lucas he's an asshole.
Quoted from trilogybeer:I don't think he'll be there on a Saturday .
I know where he lives. It's not far.
Quoted from davijc02:Damn are all old dudes angry or is it just Bryan? He just mad that scott put out his music on cassette instead of a record?
I asked Scott if he would do Glen Miller on 78 and he said f' no.
Quoted from pinstadium:Thank you Scott for adding this addition as that helps out a lot for me when making the adapters for our kits for TNA. I have a customer taking delivery of his shortly and this makes things very plug and play. Excellent work as always!!!
Scott
Pin Stadium

I have no idea why anyone would want to alter or mess with the great lighting in this game, but to each his own.
Quoted from trilogybeer:a couple stops before home . Lawrences pub in Benton . Played the games there also .
YOU SUCK, DOUG!!
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:You should probably take this to PM as this system is 100% different than you are used to. If you are using relays in your GI module to sense the lamp patterns, you are going to have a bad time as it will PWM the relay until it self destructs. If you are using transistors, I would be cautious about combining the power supplies or backfeeding any current and taking out PCBs. Any draw from the GI bulbs will make the bulbs in TNA not function correctly. This type of thing is definitely not supported by spooky and will void your customers warranty. I am not saying it is impossible, I am just warning you to test this before you send anything to a customer.
All I heard was void warranty. I hope Charlie has something in writing warning their customers against their own stupidity.
Quoted from bitpatrol:I'm wondering how well the butter would wear over time, potentially chipping or cracking if the cabinet shifts slightly and repeatedly over time. I know the cab flexes slightly on sub and shaker... have there been clearcoat cabinets made many years ago that have aged well? If a non-butter gets damaged over time, the sticker can be replaced, but for the butter, not sure how to repair a chipped side if that ever happens.
I have a FT cabinet that was done the same way as the TNA butter cabinets. It was done a couple years ago and still looks the same as the day I got it.
As with anything that looks this nice, you need to be careful moving it, but I wouldn't worry at all once it's in place and you're playing it.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:Is it made out of kangaroo scrotum?
Nice to know it wasn't your own.
Quoted from herg:Have any of you looked into making the beacon brighter? Granted, I haven't played in a darkened room yet, but I don't even notice it's running unless I purposefully look up at it.
I went with this one. I don't remember if I got white or red though. Whatever I got, it's bright!
Quoted from bitpatrol:Thanks for the advice ya'll.
Definitely nothing wrong with that butter cabinet for sure, it's AWESOME! I plan on keeping it for many years ( forever ) and I don't know how to handle if any damage occurs to the butter at one point, and would either need to cover over the clearcoat with a new decal. WIth the margarine I could always have it looks 10/10 with new decals... any thoughts?
People always say, if they messed up a standard cabinet, they could always put new decals on. Really? How many people would actually do that?
Like Mr68 said, if your TNA is going in a lineup, I'm not sure you want to spend the money on a butter cabinet. Other then seeing the front, no one will know it's special. With me, I've got a spot for a game where you can see the entire game, so people can really see how nice the cabinet is.
Besides, I know the cabinet maker, the guy who designed the game and the guy who builds them, so it's more than special to me.
Quoted from Whysnow:Game #2 has been out for a few months.
This is a $6300 game so it is priced the same as other new stuff... $1 per play. Now that it has been a few months I will adjust that to 3 plays for $2 (or like you said to encourage 4 player games I will probably do 4 plays for $3) Honestly I see no reason to do so cheap (only .50) on a brand new game but if that is what you do for everything else then you may have to???
Close down outlanes, turn up ball saver, and wait it out is my advice.
Game times have steadily gone up as players have learned how to play and are near 3 min now.
I have no protection besides the plastic protectors and so far I see no reason for anything else.
Slingshot rubbers >> go down 1/4 inch (I think they are 2.5? so go down to 2.25) and that seems to have solved the ball under sling issue from speedy balls (seems to happen during multiball). I have not had any issues since down sizing rubber.
Who makes a 2 1/4" ring?
Quoted from Whysnow:Must have been a 2? I just grabbed the next smallest from the bucket of rings.
I am not sure off the top of my head what size is on there, but go down one size.
Yup. 2 or 2 1/2.
Wellllllllll, me a couple buddies were going to visit Charlie tomorrow, but it turns out he's on his death bed with the flu.
And here I was going to get answers to everyone's questions.
It'll have to be another weekend.
Quoted from Mr68:If you've ever advanced through Cirqus Voltaire, that's exactly what happens and it is a wicked cool effect. I would never tell Scott what to do but I'd love it if something like that would happen on reactors 6 and 9.
I will say, I'm sure Scott could have done what so many other designers have done with cool light shows and effects once the end has been reached....but he didn't. Similar to the game, he did something no one else has ever done.
And if you want to see what it is, simply set your reactor default to one reactor instead of nine.
In fact, Scott, Yancy, Bangerjay and friends play dollar games with the game set to one reactor. It makes for a completely different strategy when playing. I'll just say you may not want to defeat the reactor. Or in some cases, you may.
Quoted from Whysnow:Can we PLEASE impose a NO SPOILERS clause here?
I know I will eventually blow up the 9th reactor and I dont want the surprise ruined. Seriously, the most achievable but challenging thing in pinball for me currently and really lame if someone is being a dick to publish this. I skimmed the post and tuned out whatever was said... please dont be a dick!
Settle down, big guy. I see no dicks here.
Quoted from bangerjay:Did someone say dicks?!
Yes. Yes we did. And we weren't talking about Hilton either!
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:I wish the TNA software guy would hurry up.
If you need help with that, just let me know.
Quoted from Crile1:One has already been sold in the marketplace.
I own two. Bought the second one from a private buyer.
Quoted from davijc02:Just a hell of a deal on you like the game that much?
Pretty simple....kind of.
I have 4 games at my daughter's house. My son in law's favorite is TOM. No one else in the family likes it or plays it. I have to go there every now and then and fix something. It sucks. They live an hour away.
They were here for Christmas and all four of them ( him, daughter and two boys) played TNA and loved it. I bought TNA (the guy needed money) and now get to sell the TOM. No more driving an hour to fix a game.
Quoted from NJGecko:I've been drifting more and more away from the toy- and gimmick- filled games. And I generally don't like deep rulesets.
Then you will love this game.
Quoted from Jerickso77:So they are basically making this game until the orders dry up? Hope they make some kind of "last call" before they stop and really hoping I can save up enough money before that happens.
A last call is exactly what Charlie has said he'll do.
Quoted from Mr68:Sterns exciting Iron Maiden announcement did nothing to dampen my enthusiasm for this game. I'm more excited than ever.
A container needs to go to our friends in Australia first but I'm getting close with #132.
You are a wise man, Mr. Mitchell. A very wise man.
Quoted from BorgDog:Not on a plastic but this one took a surprising amount of "nudging" and a warning to get undone.
I know the feeling.
Quoted from Damonator:Ok Billy Mitchell...I'm gonna need a video before I acknowledge this one is legit.
Dude!! You can see the reflections of the lights off the glass!!
No glass was pulled for this photo!!
Quoted from Whysnow:real lionmen get back in line for a 2nd one
Nah. I just bought my second one the open market.
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:Check out this topper that goes over the topper we made at Pinball Life! Respectful nod to High Speed definitely intended.
HOT ACTION PINBALL!!!

[quoted image]
I think someone owes Brian Millard a $5 royalty on each one sold...seeing as it was his idea.
Quoted from RobT:Yeah, I'm sure those plastic covers and single bulb are very highly sought after by criminals.
Of course no one really wants it, but some people just steal shit cause they can steal shit.
Quoted from DadofTwins:and I have 2 more washers then he listed as going into the reassembly. THANKS!
I think to make the pop bumper a bit more sensitive, Spookie added 2 washers on the rod of the ring, where there would normally be just 1.
Quoted from pinballlife:Spooky has them.
That answer was so obvious, I was left speechless.
Quoted from KingPinGames:Holy shit! Quick, someone record this moment in history. Bryan "dont you know I'm retired" Kelly has nothing to say...
Hehe.
I heard that, asshole!
Quoted from herg:"I want to start a pinball company."?
I'd rather be kicked in the nuts....repeatedly.
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:You guys don't want to know how little I actually make on streaming of my music. It is basically fractions of a penny. Even if you buy the album from iTunes, they take so much of it, then my distributor takes their cut, then I am left with not much.
Yeah, right! And your next game is titled Haunted House Party.
Quoted from dts:Maybe the playfields will be done elsewhere-doesn't Mirco make their playfields?.
Mirco does not make their playfields.
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:Hey Guys/Gals,
So about the vinyl, there are a few issues. The first issue is cost. Unfortunately, I do not think there is enough demand in this project for me to not lose money. I really just do not want to do that. This would be a pretty damn expensive project. I also take a hard stance for any of my projects using anything like go fund me or kickstarter.
The next issue is that the TNA album is about 50ish minutes in length. In order to get this to sound good on vinyl, this would have to be a double record album. You can only jam so much on one side of a record before you have to sacrifice sound quality and overall bass/volume levels. Which this leads back to the first problem of cost.
There actually is one more thing unfortunately... I would have to remaster all of the music specifically for the vinyl format. This is less of an issue and more of a thing that I would just have to allocate time to.
I get requests once in a while for vinyl, but I honestly just don't think the demand is there for people to spend $40-50 on the double album.
--Scott
See....if they had asked me the same thing, I just would have said F' NO!
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:to make everything a bit more cohesive.
Yeah, I was playing mine yesterday and thought to myself, this game seems to lack cohesiveness.
You're killin me, Smalls!
Quoted from beelzeboob:Man, I wish I was your daughter or her husband. That ship has sailed. But if you let me have my pick of your machines, I'm happy to be your bitch.
Sorry, man, but I can't get past the high rise socks.
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:Hit the little power button on the pc just above the DC power jack. I bet the pc is just not powering on. I have seen this happen on a few machines.
Do you mean just below? Just so people know, it's tiny.
It's white.
It points to the right.
Did I say it's tiny?
A1FC0C58-9498-4B7C-9833-94785B8975D1_1_105_c (resized).jpegIf anyone is interested, I'm going to be selling my original TNA with butter cabinet, serial #2.
Perfect condition with speaker lights and side rail lighting.
$8500. Not willing to ship at this time.
FWIW, this game was delivered personally by Charlie and Scott and has their DNA on it.
If you don't want their DNA on it, I'll claim I scrubbed it off.

Yup. I know. Bad timing on my part.
For anyone looking for a minty fresh one.
