I just wanted to say that I really enjoy this pinball machine. Owning a Total Nuclear Annihilation is now one of my life goals. When I accomplish a personal achievement that I have set for myself, I plan to celebrate by purchasing a TNA machine. Hopefully, my achievement will align with Spooky doing another production run.

I'm not a TNA owner, but wanted to say how cool it is that the game creator is so active on this thread and personally helps people trouble shoot their machines. Super awesome. It makes me want my own TNA even more.

I would buy one too.

Scott, you are the best! Your continued troubleshooting and tech support for your pinball machine is amazing. Really makes me want to own a TNA!

Such a great pinball machine. I am coming to the conclusion that there are so many modern pinball machines that I will never be able to own or afford. Best wishes for Spooky and Scott. Looking like I'll be turning into an EM enthusiast, but my fingers are crossed to get a few classic solid states or maybe one more System 11.

Quoted from THEFOZ:

I looked at joining the fang club a couple weeks ago, but it said you had to be signed up by August 1st for the 2022 “goodies”. I figured this meant early access so I didn’t sign up. At $9k I’m not sure I would have followed through anyway. I wasn’t that shocked but was thinking $8k would be reasonable.
Maybe it’s because they are doing such a limited run, but I figured with the code and layout all in place it would be cheaper to manufacture. The plans are complete, just assemble.

This is my thinking and experience 100%.
I love the machine! I can picture the music in my head right now.

Yes, I agree with Spagano314. It is so cool that Scott trouble shoots people's problems on here. Really amazing that he takes the time to do that for people that own the pinball machine he created.

#8872 1 year ago

Was someone really suggesting other music for TNA? William Tell Overature? Scott's music is perfect and so much fun. The game is perfect and the music certainly would be the last thing I would suggest modifying. haha.

I’m not in the Fang club. Is this run sold out already?

@thebeefsupreme, your wife has great taste! Those are two great pinball machines!

It's good to hear that it was an easy fix.

I am teleworking today and have YouTube playing the music from Total Nuclear Annihilation. It makes great background music and it is making me want to own the machine. haha

So what is the cheapest anyone has bought a used TNA for? I would like to get in the club, but wondering what a realistic cost is? Did the latest run of TNA machines cause the originals to drop in value much?

Quoted from MasterBlaster:

I’ve seen a couple in the Pinside marketplace lately that I would consider to be a decent price.
The thing about TNA is, even now that there has been a second run (recently sold out, congrats Scott) there are STILL only 800 production copies in existence. That’s fewer than Stern produces for a “Limited Edition” these days. The way the game is built and the level of tech support that Scott has given to owners is unmatched. Because of the above, I think TNA is Sp00ky Pinball’s best game to date. Like Rick & Morty, it’s a uniquely modern classic (and like Rick & Morty) it’s going to hold its value a little stronger compared to titles with larger production numbers. I could be all wet, or full of hot air, or however you want to say it…just my two cents.

MasterBlaster and Joshjowen Thanks for the response. I didn't realize that less than 1,000 of these have been made. Makes sense that the machine's prices would remain elevated because of the low production and how it's such a fun game. I'll be keeping my eye out for a local opportunity to get one.

Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:

There is not, sorry. Lock stealing is all part of the strategy. Make sure you do not leave any balls locked for the other players.

I like this feature. Reminds me of stealing locked balls in my Bally Fireball.

Just want to add that it’s super cool you are so active in this thread. I hope to own a TNA one day.

Quoted from Kolk1:

BKSOR pro, is a great (close to) 1 level game. I keep a stern meteor next to my TNA, and soon I want to get a meteor next to it as well.

Kolk1 I love seeing photos of your game room. Love the carpet, black lights, and selection of pinball machines.

Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:

Can you please send me your log files please? Serious, just zip them up and email them to me. Thank you!
--Scott

I'm still new to the pinball hobby and I don't own any modern machines like TNA. Can you explain what sending you the log files does for you? What kind of information can you decipher from them? Just curious. It's cool to think that you could see a bunch of game statistics. I'm curious to check out some portions of the video he streamed.
