So it looks like the pinside community has spoken on the 2.0. release. 91% are out or were on the fence @ $9k. Wondering who would have been in on a cheaper $7kish version without all the extra bling? Just curious, I would have been in myself. Just a hypothetical question, for amusement.

What are the differences?

Just based on inflation alone, a $6K pin sold in 2017 is $7250 in 2022. That’s a bone stock TNA from 2017. And that doesn’t take into account all of the massive cost increases we’ve seen in parts and labor.

$7k is a pipe dream. And even at that, you’re still likely looking at tax and shipping.

If they had same pricing as Hotwheels $7,294.00 .

I would of picked one up without a second thought.

K, I'm gonna guess that's a out. Did u vote?
Maybe when a new administration gets in and things get better then the last 2 years, spooky can do another release. Ya never know.

It’s an out because it’s not realistic. Who knows what material costs are compared to 2017, but I guarantee they are massively inflated.

But, even if they could manufacture it just taking basic inflation into consideration… $7,250… if your state charges 6% tax, that’s another 435, plus an average of $400 shipping. You’re looking at a game that’s landing at $8085.

No doubt, imagine $9k. Looking at $14k CAD landing in Canada. Anyway, was just hypothetical.. Not looking good anyways, only like 10 more people would buy it at $7k. so it seems like the 91% really just didn't want this game.

If it's still hidden behind a paywall I AM OUT!

I think if you objectively look at $ inflation, supply issues, parts/material increases, labor $ increases, plus the addition of a new ... it's really easy to see how a 2017 game plus its extras (including the use of PROC) can approach $9K in 2022.

According to TPS, they were still selling these for that same price in 2019, so only looking at 3 years of inflation and a 50% increase in price.

Those may have been sales locked in 2017

That's not how I understood it, but I could be wrong.
