Couple question about the update? Any way to update it without a laptop? My pin is in the basement and my computer at the second floor. Do you need the board in the game to upgrade or we can do it outside the game?

Quoted from TimeBandit:

The board can be updated at your desk. It just needs to be powered. It has a flexible power supply and can be powered by any voltage from 8-28V. Just take the included power cable with you and get power to the lugs that are in the big three way plug. Please check the polarity!!
I'm going to test powering it with a 9v battery.
Update -- I just reprogrammed a board using a 9V battery.

Awesome!

I just want to share my setup for on desk upgrade! 9 volt battery, 0.156 connector... Work like a charm. I had to manually put the driver but after that, everything was good!

Quoted from epthegeek:

Did my install today. Other than wrestling with a few problematic bulbs it went great. The whole thing is a really well put together kit.
I had done the inlanes earlier, with a test harness Timebandit sent me, and attaching those to the controlled strings was really simple. He had already sent me z connectors with the harness so I just had to press on some 2 pin IDC connectors. I did that before putting the harnesses on just to make it easier. I put them between the second and third bulb hookup.

Do you have to remove all the bulb in the inlane and replace it, or just had to add one bulb in the center?

Finish my installations yesterday and did a lot of testing. I'm pretty sure i have a couple issue with it... For exemple, when i lock the first ball at the captive ball, the GI turn red and it stay like that for the rest of the ball, couple other thing seem weird also.

I decided to try reinstall the code tonight and it's seem to take care of the probleme, everything look good so far, i'm really happy with it. Will keep you informe if something happen again.

Thank's Gino

I think i prefere the way it look with all the bulb on... I can maybe give it a try, since it's not difficult to update the code.
