I'm still on the fence with TNA. I need to find out a bit more about it before I commit... it's very tempting though...

Quoted from Aurich:Play it first. I know it's a weird and wacky concept on this here Pinside website thingy, but trying a game to see if you like it before spending thousands of dollars is actually a pretty neat idea!
If you list your location people near you might even invite you over to play their's, you never know.
In the last 20yrs I've only purchased 3 machines before playing them: TronLE, HulkLE and Predator... So 1 hit 1 miss & 1 disaster. They rest I've always played first.
As for as location goes, I can't stand any of the pinsiders in my area so I won't be playing one at their place.
I enjoyed the live feed and afterwards I searched Youtube for TNA pinball content. For some unknown reason YT recommended a Stern interview from 2009 and for another unknown reason, I watched it.
In the interview Gary said it cost between $750,000 & $1,000,000 to develop a game and build it with 4 miles of Ford Taurus wiring.
I thought WOW, the industry sure has changed in the last 8 years.
Quoted from rai:I can see by all the down votes no one read my entire post
Pinside has always been about ice cream, pitchforks and torches
Scott and I spoke about TNA at the PBL party. As a new buyer I had a few things I wanted clarification on and I was pleasantly surprised as he cheerfully addressed all of my comments/questions without hesitation. The rest of the time I watched as others played further into the ruleset than I could. I was able to get in a few very fast games before I trotted off to play IJ... and that's when the TNA Effect hit me... every machine I played for the next 20 minutes seemed like slow motion.
Note to self:
On gameroom night play other games before TNA not after.
Quoted from davijc02:Haha maybe. I keep playing the music around her because she into that kind of music. I also keep bringing up the main character is a girl going to destroy a future civilization.
In due time I will wear her down lol
Tell her it's an anniversary present.
