Got my TNA today. #57. I bought this game having never seen or played it. Wow, I totally understand why it has been getting such rave reviews! Incredibly fun, fast, exciting game. Great sound, lights. Beautiful butter cabinet. It’s definitely quirky, but I haven’t been this excited by a new purchase in a long time. It has that “one more game” feeling more than anything else I can remember. Congrats to Scott and the Spooky team. Game of the year BY A MILE.
I have had a couple of minor issues. Bad player 1 display, the top line of the left 3 digits does not work. One bad LED (the S in SAVE), that stays lit red sometimes when it’s clearly supposed to be off. The switch for the second drop target was getting stuck on, confusing the “Danesi lock” mechanism. Removed, then it spontaneously started working again, reinstalled. Works OK for now. The upper flipper return spring broke off, had to rig it back up. Works OK for now.
I am confident that my distributor (Joe, Pinballstar, a good guy) will get me fixed up on the display and that one LED. Might even need a new drop target switch and that little spring.
Anyone on the list for TNA should be very excited about this one.
Seems like this game should have a high score board that just keeps track of most reactors completed. Thoughts, Charlie? Scott?
Quoted from TheNoTrashCougar:Thought about it, but instead in the v1.1.0 that I will be releasing soon, it will use the last digit of the score to keep track of how many reactors were beaten.
I love this idea. TNA is an amazing game. So addictive. I was 1 shot away from
#4, bricked twice then drained. I’m already plotting my revenge.
Quoted from Borygard:The current Stern flipper return springs seem to do the trick. And, is what TNA is now shipping with.
Are these breaking on lots of TNAs? I had one break on day 1, never had one break before on any game. Not a big deal, but weird.
I sure hope the game goes totally ape-sh*t if you complete #9. I hate when I complete a wizard mode and nothing happens.
Quoted from TomGWI:Can’t stop playing TNA. It is highly addictive.
Me, too. Just got through 6!
Quoted from cooked71:Australian games are sitting in customs as we speak. If Customs had any sense of what is sitting there, they would release them before the weekend and put us all out of our misery.
I'm torn between setting it up at work for all of us to play $1 games or taking it home where I can play it in more depth, but less often as multiplayer.
It would be a great game for $ games.
Quoted from EricHadley:Ugh you guys! This wait is making me crazy! 250 is too far away!
You’re welcome to come play my TNA, and the rest of my games, any time. Let me know.
Having an issue with my TNA. Sometimes, (but not always) the center yellow standup target will register hits upon slight shaking of the machine. Sometimes, (but not always) it seems to happen when the right flipper is engaged. The switch test on the center standup appears to function normally. Ideas?
Quoted from LTG:If it's a leaf blade switch, adjust it so it's less sensitive.
LTG : )
I'll try. Wouldn't the switch test trip when I shake the machine? Or hit the right flipper? This appears to function normally during switch test. I will adjust, though.
Thanks-R
Quoted from LTG:If it's a leaf blade switch, adjust it so it's less sensitive.

I tried to adjust the leaf, though it looked like it was appropriately gapped. When I touched it (barely), the little brass(?) contact came flying out. The switch still works, and now I can't replicate the issue I was having. Perhaps the switch contact was in the process of falling out? Should I replace the switch?
Did you see the video that Scott posted on Facebook!? With the reactor number gradually counting down? Soooo nasty. Love it.
I tried to do that. It appeared to update successfully, but after power cycle it started ejecting ball after ball. Can’t start a game.
Turns out I had a wire that wasn’t wedged down all the way in the connector for the opto transmitter board. Wedged it down, 100% fix.
Christopher with Spooky support was UNBELIEVABLY helpful. We exchanged no fewer than 18 emails, late into the evening, no doubt related to my dirth of technical knowledge. But, we diagnosed it together! I love my Spooky games, and will remain a loyal customer. You can’t go wrong with these guys. They know how to run a company. Buy with confidence! Bring on Alice Cooper!
No, just the hinges. A little different from the process for the SWLE install. You have to remove the flipper buttons as well.
Great game. Great company. Can’t say enough. One weird thing: i’ve now had 2 different flipper return springs break. I just take the next ring down and bend them back in place, so no harm done, but why is this happening? Did they use a different type of spring than is typical? I’ve never had this happen in any other game, ever, including other Spooky games.
