Quoted from jwilson:The cabinet, art and whatnot aren't the most expensive part, so a kit doesn't really save you much. Also it has a custom sized screen.
Kit as an loose parts, so all pf parts and a bunch of loose wire.
Quoted from CaptainNeo:it could. It doesn't cost as much as you think to make a pinball machine. Wasn't that long ago you could buy NIB for $3400. So you know the production costs are wayyyyyy cheaper.
shshhhhhh, you can't question his expertise in pinball manufacturing. He knows what he's talking about since he got Wooly into production. Wait..
Quoted from Whysnow:dude has an obsession with me and WOOLY. Best off to not feed his trolling.
He has zero clue about anything. I am pretty sure nobody can build this and sell it for under 5k, but if they can, then count me in for 2 of them!
IF this were to ever happen I predict 7k price tag at best!
I just find it Highly amusing how much of an expert you are in an area you support, but have no real experience in. All you have is a large wallet and an obsession with making sure games like this don't see large runs
If the game could be marketed at different prices for different volumes, that information would be helpful. When you limit games to 250, under $5k is improbable. Why not bump it to 500, 750 or 1000 and compare costs.
With no kit, the only limiting factor.for the price is the number made. Make it 500 to 1000 instead of 250 or some small.bullshit number
How about a $500 manual. Which indicates every part neded for the machine with some parts being provided by the creator.
Quoted from FalconPunch:This pinball is now officially called
"Total Nuclear Annihilation"
says who?
Quoted from c508:The way the strap for the messenger bag is nestled in her cleavage looks weird, unrealistic, and really uncomfortable.
The boobstrap? Thats the best part of the backglass
Quoted from taylor34:I think a lot of people were just speculating on Rob Zombie so they could make a quick buck. Then when it was clear it wasn't going to be profitable, everyone dropped out.
Part of the issue might have been not marketing/selling to existing customers first. I know they did the special 50 LE's for AMH buyers that were sold out immediately, but I was an early buyer of AMH but never received one email or communication on Rob Zombie (nor any of their other games like Domino's, Jetson's, etc). I know other people didn't either. Plus you had to put your name on the preorder list before even seeing pictures if I remember correctly, so that also caused the list to be filled up with speculators. I didn't have that much initial interest in RZ (but possibly could have depending on the music/way it looked) but with the list so full I basically wrote it off before I even saw it (and to be fair, I wouldn't have bought the game after seeing it).
Kinda sounds like an old boys club to get info, first dibs on pre orders, etc.
