If Spooky Pinball were to build this machine, would you be in on it. After watching the Youtube videos of it being played,I am really hoping we can show the interest needed for Spooky to work it out financially to be built at a price we can all afford. Hoping this poll helps.

How about some Total Annihilation photos from the Texas Pinball Festival?

Someone feel free to post a Youtube link of gameplay from TPF17!

I can't wait to see what they do with artwork!!
-Mike

#311 7 years ago

I doubt you'll see TA at the same time as AC for the simple reason of not enough people will have built up their toy money.
-Mike

#468 7 years ago

All kidding aside..I am interested in it having a shaker motor too,for when you destroy a reactor.

Quoted from trilogybeer:

to answer your question if the price of the game goes over $8,500 I will have to be out .

If it reaches $6500 you'll see people who are on the fence not jump over. I think the price poll shows where it needs to be. I am looking forward to the artwork and then price.

I hope it's not that much.
Would be out of my price range.

The backglass won't be looked at that much while I get the reactors overheated. Besides my wife likes it and that's all I needed to hear.Looking forward to seeing a finished machine.

#1192 6 years ago

I think once this machine is complete and ready for sale you'll see that Spooky will need to build in excess of 500 machines.
-Mike

#1258 6 years ago

But people instead are focusing on the art style, or the purple hair, or the font, or the laser lines. Seriously, people.
-^^^ Well said and so true.

I don't think there's been any timeline proposed yet? MY worthless opinion is some time in 2018 they will begin shipping.

Quoted from rotordave:

I'm selling them at the same price they are in the USA ($5999 USD) so it's not a money making scheme lol. Buyers will pay for the games directly and I organise everything else for them

rotordave you sir are awesome
-Mike

#1749 6 years ago

@fantarama...Your first post and I can't figure out if you are defending it's production or putting it down? I can't even tell if you want to buy it or not. Your thoughts are playing both sides of the fence. In any case no one is forcing you to buy it or mod it or whatever it is your thinking.
As for the poll,it was started in the very beginning to get an idea if this homebrew game from Scott was something that could get into production as so many of us fell for it after seeing it at shows and videos of gameplay.
Not everyone will have the same opinion about design or flow of a game and as for art work, all I can say about that is plenty loved this machine before as a whitewood table and everyone will have a different perspective.
I am a guaranteed buyer without any hesitation. And yes I am a Spooky fan.
-Mike

#1756 6 years ago

Just an opinion... I think eventually you're going to find out that the epoxy is not fully cured and being stored laying down in racks the inserts sink with gravity. Not talking about a huge amount but enough to cause the ghosting that we are seeing. If you were to store in an upright rack until fully cured I don't think we would be seeing this issue. Basically assembly is being rushed.
Case in point..how long does it take Stern to assemble say 300 machines? And how long for Spooky? Maybe the fast production line is the problem.
This is all opinion and speculation on my part but it is also food for thought.
-Mike

#1828 6 years ago
Quoted from stpcore:

In my conversations with Scott he was happy to leave some elements open for the creative mod community and their add-ons. Just another way you can personalize your TNA.

Just hearing that Scott left the window open for the aftermarket mod guys to have some work and sales shows what a great guy he is.
-Mike

#1918 6 years ago

You will sweat,oh yes you will sweat! Best workout ever.
-Mike

#2022 6 years ago
Quoted from Aurich:

Suggest away!

Aurich ,I clearly remember Scott saying elements of TNA are open for the modders. So fwiw maybe to help potential buyers be more prone to buy, you could do something for in between the flippers that would make people happy. Much like you did for ac/dc pro. This is a honest idea that I think you could help with. So just consider it ,to help sell as many machines as possible.
-Mike

#2024 6 years ago

^^^ but what if someone is on the fence and it's aftermarket mods that help sell the machine. I used ac/dc as an example and will add the shadow as another because what Aurich did for those games made a difference for the better.

Showing $7000- without explaining the extra $1000- is gonna create a shit storm. Someone from Spooky or Joe needs to get on this and fix it with explanation.

But would it make the game too hard? I guess we will see how quickly people get all 9 reactors once the masses start playing it.

Have it selectable in the settings, then everyone can set it how they like.

Hey all what game is most like TNA?

You won't find anything like it. Spooky does unique stuff. Look at AMH or RZ...nothing like it! Remember this machine is from Scott's head, a basement project that went viral! Good times are here.

Also, a question or two for thenotrashcougar ...
Once again, my apologies if this is commonly known information, or if you are saving it all for your published biography someday , but how did you get into all this, sir? What did you study in college? Have you always been into pinball since you were a kid? Or, more likely, are you just some kind of crazy mad robot alien genius who simply started messing around one day in the garage?

+1 on this. You really did something awesome and would love to know what inspired the mad scientist in you?

Quoted from Rascal_H:

Newb questions: Do they call to figure out what might be a good time for you or is it your responsibility to be home on their schedule? Do they come right inside with it or just get it to the driveway?

Most likely R&L will be doing the delivery and will tell you to be home all day to wait for it or it will be rescheduled at a fee and they only bring it up the driveway.
My personal experience with 3 different NIB deliveries.

Quoted from Russell:

I have had a couple of minor issues. Bad player 1 display, the top line of the left 3 digits does not work. One bad LED (the S in SAVE), that stays lit red sometimes when it’s clearly supposed to be off. The switch for the second drop target was getting stuck on, confusing the “Danesi lock” mechanism. Removed, then it spontaneously started working again, reinstalled. Works OK for now. The upper flipper return spring broke off, had to rig it back up. Works OK for now.

I hope quality control is not getting rushed to get games out the door.

Congrats! Are we supposed to tip these guys?

As a driver I will tell you that a $10 Dunkin Donuts card goes a long way if you want your precious electronic toy anywhere but the driveway. Doing freight sucks and I don't miss it, glad I got my tanker and haz-mat endorsement.

TNA is more like an EM game with current enhancements,

You can't possibly be serious? If you said it was kinda like a Gottlieb on steroids, ok but an EM...no way. And I doubt I'm the only one who thinks your opinion is far fetched.

So just out of curiosity, if you place an order today for TNA when you would expect to receive it?

From #'s that pinsiders have shown machines received and with AC in the background I would estimate 8 months. Order one now and keep us updated.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a shipping method that will at least deliver it into your garage?

I doubt any shipper or driver wants the responsibility. Your best bet is to ask a neighbor or post pone the shipping all together until you are available.

Lol, don't expect that machine to help you. Mine hates me. Been stuck trying to get past 6th reactor for a while now. Absolutely getting my monies worth tho.
