Quoted from FatPanda:

Watching the Dead Flip vid on Youtube gives a clear view of the layout and light show. Looks amazing! One pop bumper that cause such an awesome effect!
Beware the man in green...

The "man in green" is bangerjay, IINM. Avert-your-eyes multiball.

Different shots could add clothes

Would provide the needed motivation to be more accurate

How about some Total Annihilation photos from the Texas Pinball Festival???

Played it last night and put my initials in. Not sure if they're still there though. Fun and fast

Quoted from rosh:

Oh, and it was my sharpie pen that did that awesome art, so I'm taking credit for that

LOL @ "Ball Save"

Quoted from bangerjay:

I don't ever want perfectly good playfields sitting in my closet, That's why kits or modular playfields have limited potential.

Here's a thought--make swappable playfields that can easily hang on the wall as lighted decorations in the game room. No need to stuff 'em in the closet.

Per Spooky's FB page, Spooky will be producing Total Annihilation.

"YES! Spooky is making Scott Danesi's Total Annihilation. More details to come over the next few months!"

#457 2 years ago
Quoted from rosh:

I'd say more of a proof of concept than a prototype. There are many aspects of what he has done that will likely have to change before the game goes into production. I would expect it will be more than a few months before we see a prototype that is more representative of what the production game will look like. Not saying it is going to be radically different, but this was a one off with no original intent to take it to production, so it was not engineered with that in mind. Add to that Scott has a full time job.
I have no inside info, but I'd imagine that TA would come after Alice cooper and whatever Ben is cooking up.

One thing's for sure; they gotta keep that awesome rosh Sharpie art. "Ball Saver" = classic

Let's see...

Game cabinet came from a Dolly Parton...

"T/A" / T&A... there's a good joke there somewhere.

But I did play the game at TPF, and it's tits

Quoted from rubberducks:

On the face of it, in that case TA would probably be a bad candidate for manufacture, given the thumping synth / retrowave soundtrack, similar Hotline Miami type LCD graphics (and I suspect art package?), and what some older customers might consider an overwhelming light show. How many 50 year olds listen to or are even cognisant of that kind of music or new pixel shooter videogames?

Welp, I'm pushing 50 and think the music is fantastic. Miami Vice-like graphics, thank you very much (which btw was on TV when I was a teenager). The light show is great.

tl;dr 50 =/= old

Quoted from lpeters82:

That's a cool art style for an 80s theme. The neon looks great.

Good point. May we assume that the art will integrate with the LCD animations? That only makes sense though, right? I'll go out on a limb and say that "hot neon pink" is a possibility

The artist will do a great job integrating the art with the LCD stuff... he's got top level skill.

How well does the banana hammock integrate with a vajazzler?

No need to throw iron man under the bus

You could throw Iron Man under a vajazzler and he'd come out OK.
